Upon arriving to the property the neighborhood was very unsafe and there was visible evidence of drug and prostitution. I was given a code to enter the apartment building, however, the door to access the building was unlocked and I was able to push it open. Additionally, within the apartment there were holes in the walls, specifically in the bathroom. There was a hole in the shower wall that led to the outside yard and there were electrical wires coming into the hole into the shower. Prior to my arrival the host was very responsive, however, once I arrived I tried to contact him and ask if there was at least another property in the building that did not have holes in the shower and he ignored all of my efforts to contact him. I was there for approximately 1 hour before I left and booked another property. I never stayed at this property because it was extremely unsafe. And while there is nothing the host could do about the surrounding neighborhood, the holes in the wall and exposure to bugs, insects and prying eyes into the shower was within his control, as well as the fire and safety hazard of electrical wires in the shower. I will need a 100% refund for this.
