Punta Cana Gem

Another great stay at Majestic Elegance. This is my 3rd stay there and for the money, can't be beat. The Funjestic team is always awesome. Nadi, Evelyn and Joselito are the best and really know how to treat their guests. The food was good, 9 Doors and Steakhouse were best. The beach is one of the best I have been on anywhere I have traveled. There are plenty of activities, never ending booze and a very clean resort. The only negative is the pool is starting to lose tiles and needs minor repairs. I saw 3 people cut thier feet in 9 days. Rooms are spacious and clean. The employees work very hard so make sure you tipthem well!

Great Hotel and Friendly staff.

Upon arrival we were "wowed" by the hotel lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was the moist bed/sheets. I had to sleep over a bath towel and used a sheet to cover myself in order to be comfortable. I believe there is moisture in the bedroom which the sheets absorb. Besides that, everything was perfect.

Anniversary first time

Pros: Drink choice excellent. Lots of activites in the night
Cons: Room had a slight odor, found mold on one of the pillows food was just okay
Beautiful property. A few hickups at check in but the Manager sorted it out. Our bags took some two hours to get to our room. After a free upgrade stayed in the Colonial Club. Butler and private pools for adults, drinks brought to you on beach, private lounge. We don't think it's worth the money. Butler did little for us if we saw him twice that was plenty. The main pool for the resort was huge. It never seemed crowded. Our much smaller adult pools had drinking parties. Food was for the most part average to not very good. Various activities daily. Room had an old odor and we found mold on the pillow on the last day. Experience was ok, but I'd prefer to stay somewhere else.

Nice hotel right by the beach

Staff was excellent always making sure you're having fun. Heard horror stories of people getting things stolen out of luggage when bell boy brings up to room but the bags never left our sight the bell boys brought you and the bags up together. Shows were great something was always happening either by pool, beach, or in the theater. The food was actually pretty good def recommend the omelettes and fajitas from the see and sea buffet. 100% get the majestic drink or get a tucan they were delicious. Also 9 doors hibachi was delicious. The resort beach party was probably the best night of the week though they had a huge buffet and show on the beach. Don't miss The Michael Jackson show or circus show.

Lots of Activities, especially for kids.

Location: Swimming with Dolphins was great. Overcharge for pictures though.
Check in: arrived at 3pm, was told our room was not ready, it wasn't ready until about 4:30 and when we arrived to the room hotel staff was fixing the air conditioner. Room: the room itself was OK, not luxurious but adequate. We had the one bedroom suite which was quite large. Wonderfully large balcony overlooking then pool. Facilities: very small gym - only 2 treadmills. Pool: nice pool, well maintained. Beach: a very long walk from our room to the beach. A lot of smokers - cigarette butts all over the beach - disappointing. Food: HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE! We all had a very difficult time finding anything that was edible. In fact, 5 out of 7 of our group got sick. Staff: Wait staff and hotel staff very pleasant and accommodating except for the Concierge. We asked for assistance in making reservations at a restaurant outside the hotel (because the food was that bad) and was told "I work for the hotel, I don't know anything about the restaurants". Entertainment: excellent Overall - if you are looking for a resort with a nice pool/beach and don't mind cigarette smoke and bad food, this is the place for you!

Second visit with children 5 and 8 years old

Cons: I wish the beds and pillows were a little more comfortable and their was more privacy to use the bathroom inside the room.
Location: We did the dolphin explorer, the kids felt like it was a dream come true but get ready to pay a LOT!
We love this resort as this was our second time and even better. We found the food to be fantastic, especially the supreme buffet with the kids. The restaurant service oversll was exceptional at all redtaurants. I enjoyed the different variety of mixed drinks and found the food and service better than the previous all inclusive resorts we have been too, including sandals in bahamas and jamaica. The kids park was also wonderful, the online pictures do not do it justice. The water park had three separate pools varying in depth for young kids and water slides in each pool also varying in size. We had no problem finding lounge chairs at the pool or beach which is always a plus. We also enjoy not needing a golf cart to get from one place to the next at the resort, you can easily walk to beach, pool, water park, etc and we never felt crowded. I prefer not having a free shuttle and getting a taxi. It cost $40 from airport to resort and in my opinion well worth it. As soon as you get your luggage someone is there taking your luggage yo a taxi, no waiting in a line to get on a shuttle and then waiting on the shittle for the shuttle to fill, then going to a much of different resorts and your 20 minute ride to your resort is now an hour.....that has happened to me before at other resorts and not worth it!

Pros: clean room friendly staff
Cons: food was only fair
we stayed five days, great beach, the best pool from all the other resorts we could see. The show at night was a little weak. My boys were excited to see they had pool tables and then disappointed that they where not maintained,missing balls,no chalk. Expected the food to be a bit better than it was.

Great Honeymoon for first timers in Punta Cana

Hotel overall was great one minor hiccup with the food but it was instantly corrected so no need to dwell on it. Steakhouse was fantastic and our favorite of the restaurants. We tried them all except the French one. Room service was great just a little slow (45 minutes). Room was clean drinks were never ending. My husband is now a faithful mamajuana fan!

Nice hotel amazing room view

The only problem I had at this hotel was the Expedia guy who sits in the front lobby. He's suppose to have anyone who booked with Expedia instead he's rude and useless. He makes up his own prices and very unprofessional. We asked him for prices for a shuttle to the airport. He told me he would give it to me for 80 I said that was ridiculous than he says ok 60 I said no than he tells me 50. How do you go from 80 to 50. I ended up renting a private suv to pick us up for 33.90! My problem wasn't with the hotel or the staff it was with the Expedia guys working at the hotel!!!!
