This has been the worst vacation ever!! The hotel is under construction and unfortunately no one told us nor cared. We had to smell the garbage and toilet water, walk through dirt and garbage in the hallways, and there were broken light bulbs everywhere! The last three days of our vacation were a pure waste of time and money! Our flight was at 4 today and we couldn't even get lunch or water for our kids today. The staff could care less because they knew they were going to be without work for a few months. I'm disappointed and frustrated that we spent the money we did for such a terrible experience. I have lots of pictures, but only posted a few. I would like to know what Expedia is going to do about this!

Great hotel and staff

Construction woke up my kids from their naps. Check in time was drawn out. Had $100 stolen from our wallet. Thinking it was the maid. Never took our wallet with us so no other way it could've been taken. Great food, staff was SO nice to us. Loved on our babies. Very helpful and kind. Beach was awesome.

Our stay at the Majestic hotel was one to remember! The Funjestic group really knows how to entertain and make it a wholesome experience for the whole family. Luis from the group was a great host!

Beautiful hotel

Excellent place to relax and enjoy. It was very funny how many people have been enjoying it. I will recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time.

Nice room .... great staff

The facility was very good.... the room was good but somewhat dated.... the staff was very friendly and friendly and the food was OK. The hotel was shutting down for a complete "remodel" the week we left.... I bet it really is going to be a first class facility when completed in a couple of months. I would recommend this for a great relaxing vacation spot. .

large Hotel, right on the beach but a bit dated

Pros: choice of 7 restaurants and food in the main buffet restaurant. I had fresh cooked lobster nearly every night..! Michael Jackson tribute was 5*
Cons: a small proportion of waiting staff served regular tippers first. We only tipped at the end of our stay to the staff regularly helpful & efficient
Location: Excellent access to outside excursions lovely long cool pool that was never crowded
family of 5, 2 week stay. Food great but wine choice very limited, cocktails great however. Not overcrowded so never a problem with pool sun beds. Great choice of food available. Entertainment staff worked very very hard. Only quiet time was am however ....

One word "Spectacular Vacation".

Pros: Everything. The staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly. They were always happy to serve you and not for a single tile they expected a tip.
Cons: Rooms. But again we hardly spent time inside. Renovations should address the issues as told.
Location: Beach activities including volley ball, snorkeling, fishing, site seeing were provided by the hotel and we had a great time.
By far one of our best vacations we ever had and we have traveled the world. The hotel was amazing with activities throughout the whole day and night. The room does need a good TLC. The hotel will be closed 8/26-12/20 due to a major renovation. We are looking forward into going back this December.

Excellent place to stay!!

Our family of four had an excellent time on our vacation! We have two teen agers and they loved it! We we t on two excursions(dune buggy and las onderas cenote) & really enjoyed both! The only thing I could say negative about our trip was that the bathroom is not enclosed well.there's nowhere to get dressed privately after exiting shower.fine for a couple but with two teenagers it was tricky.we stayed in a jr suite.the rooms were big and very nice though!
