Property had many options of restaurants and amenities. The Turquesa section is however towards the front of the resort. There’s no ocean view rooms and not walkable to the beach. Transportation was nice. We upgraded to the Ambar section to be close the beach and had a swim out room. Of course it cost more. The sales folks know how to sell it.

Mold in bathroom, water bugs in the room, Waiting for check in was hours, Everyday same food in buffet, in all restaurants you can make only 3 reservations per week, and when you go to make reservations most of restaurants are booked, unacceptable!! Food was not good and some of the dining furniture was old and damaged. Also the showers smelled very badly due to pipes. Some room furniture was stained. Staff friendliness needs to improve . The Dominican Republican experience has fallen off a lot from what it use to be. Service, hospitality, and quality of hotels are not what it use to be.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Bahia Turquesa. I accidentally left my baby’s formula milk at Las Dalias restaurant, and instead of holding it for me, the staff threw it away. This was very upsetting as I had to spend a significant amount of money to purchase another can while there. While a handful of staff members were helpful, the majority were not pleasant or welcoming, which made the stay less enjoyable. The resort itself also needs major improvements. The rooms are outdated, the fridge did not keep items cold, although the AC worked well. My family and I did our best to make the most of our stay, but overall, the service and facilities need serious updates.
