I live the staff. They are delightful. The foid was varied and tasteful. The room was obsolete with a construction right in the back which extremely loud noise prevented us ti sit out in the balcony and enjoy the breeze and the view.

Grounds were immaculate. Pool was great. Swimming at the beach was tough due to the seaweed. Rooms were dated and need updating also construction next door was very annoying. Food was mediocre but selection was nice. Entertainment was great and the staff was very friendly. Overall great trip but will probably try a different resort upon return. Something adults only.

Room had several minor items not working, coffee maker and hair dryer, all fixed in a single phone call. Pretty responsive. Location and facility top notch. Internet access spotty ar best even when we got on resort wifi.

The resort was clean and well kept. Staff and management were very pleasant and accommodating. They need to get rid of the vendors though. They are persistent and annoying. Plenty to do. I would return to Dreams

ehhhhh....

Pros: Pool
Cons: Air conditioning in the restaurants, food storage, and a price that really includes everything.
Location: Excursions in the area including zip lining and snorkeling.
The room was clean, but the room was always warmer than we would have liked. Only one restaurant at the resort has air conditioning, and it is still warm. If you like to be comfortable while eating, this is not the place for you. The food storage on the buffet appeared fairly unsafe. Items that should be cold, like yogurt, fruit, etc, were set on cold surfaces, but not packed in ice or refrigerated. Two members of our group left sick with salmonella. The staff was friendly but clearly expected to be tipped for everything. The pool was wonderful, clean, clean cool and large. By far the best part of the resort. We did go on a couple excursions, the zip lining and party boat arranged through the resort and had a wonderful time. The "resort credit" was a joke and was really just a coupon book that was unusable. Be aware that they will try to sell you on a time share, and that they have vendors frequently lining the sidewalk that will try to sell you trinkets for several hundred dollars, but will settle for just a few dollars. Additionally we were told that massages would cost one price but they tried to charge us something different the day of.

This was my husband and I honeymoon and we couldn't be happier. The resort was absolutely everything we wanted and more, it is an older property but in very good condition. The staff was so friendly it felt like we are were family. We were treated like Royalty the whole time with the VIP services. This was an excellent stay and we are planning on returning.

Incredible Staff

Pros: Staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Food selection; authentic Dominican cuisine would be great.
Location: Zipline, ATVs, waterfall pool.

Avoid for families & allergies

Pros: The preferred pool was about it.
Cons: Snacks for kids during the day, better plan for allergies, no alcohol to minors and don't play lewd music at a family pool.
Location: Now Onyx is next to Breathless and separated from Dreams Punta Cana by an undeveloped piece of property. Next to that is Nickelodeon and Chic Resorts
We were originally booked for Dreams Punta Cana but arrived to find it closed and transferred to Now Onyx. Attempted to contact Travelocity to change hotels and was on hold for hours after our arrival. Never resolved Rooms- couldn't get clean washcloths or towels Drinks at pool bar- I saw drinks taken from bar and poured back into the icee machine where children got ices, yet I was ensured those machines had NO alcohol. *my 10 year old was given an alcoholic drink containing coacau (sp?) which was 18% alcohol. Fortunately I was standing there when this was added to his icee and handed to him. I looked at bottle and confirmed what was added. Yes, this was reported written and verbally to management as well as AM Resorts property who replied hotel incidents aren't their problem. *pool bar bartenders drank excessively, often ducking behind bar for shots. *lifeguard seen hiding behind bathroom wall drinking beer *not food allergy friendly and did not attempt to assist finding alternatives *provided my child with an item ensuring it didn't have his allergy item, only for him to get sick after eating it (it contained his allergy item) *room was musty and damp. No clothing or items would dry in the room. Returned home and spoke with Travelocity whom stated they Weren't advised of the original closure. Spoke with AM Resorts who blamed Travelocity for not notifying of hotel closure and advised they would forward complaints to hotel. What a joke! Avoid.
