First red flag, the security guards would not allow us on the premises to check in because we arrived at 1pm and check-in is at 3pm. We were informed at check-in that there was no free wi-fi, not even in the lobby and that the safe in the room was available for purchase (never heard of that before). The room was dirty and in need of upgrades. The sink faucet was loose and water flow was inconsistent for both sink and shower. The food options at the buffet were minimal and OK. The pool was filled with floating plastic cups. There was the same patch of hair on the edge of the pool throughout my entire stay. I never saw anyone cleaning the pool throughout the day. The drinks were not great either, no top shelf options! And the accessible beach had a huge rock where my son and I both got hurt walking into the beachwater. We had to walk to the "member's only" beach area in order to get into the water. I was never greeted by any hotel staff when I walked passed or even at the buffet. Overall, it was a terrible experience and will not return to this resort. It's unfortunate, because my family has stayed here many times before and raved about it, but even they were disappointed during our stay with the service and resort in general.

I’ve stayed at this resort 3 times before and was never charged an extra $100 just because my girlfriend doesn’t have a USA passport. Was never charged on our previous visits. I don’t think we’ll ever return and that’s a shame because we liked it there.

This hotel is getting worse because the costumer services with the waitress is the worse that you can imagine, the don’t clean the floors in the room if you request cleaning. Another thing was that we reserved 2 rooms and I requested 1 next to the other because I have kids and they didn’t care.

I am very disappointed in this property. It is very dirty our first day we arrived the area around the pool had dirty diapers and empty cups everywhere. The pool area had no shade to sit. the food is cooked with a lot of oil and not a lot of variety. This hotel gets very overcrowded and no personnel to clean the property during the day. There is no area to relax as it’s overcrowded. When you check in the staff is super friendly but they don't inform of any amenities and where and what you have access to. There are signs everywhere that say members or VIP only but no one will inform you if you have access to those areas. If you go to enjoy the beach this is not the place for you. The animation staff are very talented but perform like they don’t want to be there. They don’t engage with the crowd. Everyone leaves before the show ends. I was as the lifestyle Cofresi 7 years ago and this time stayed at the tropical last year and will definitely not be returning.

THIS PROPERTY SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISING HOW GREAT THEY ARE AS I HAD TO LEAVE AFTER MY FIRST NIGHT. SOME STAFF WERE NICE BUT THEY NEED RE-TRAINING. THE ROOMS THAT I HAD WERE OLD AN OUTDATED, THE FOOD IN THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS HORRIBLE, THERE WAS NOT EVEN CHEESE TO DO A HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICH. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I WILL NEVER WILL GO BACK THERE.

Just left, very disappointed. - flight was delayed. JetBlue Vacations called the resort to let them know, I also emailed them (and got an email back confirming it was OK), and my sister who was already at the resort told them for us as well. Each time we were reassured it would be OK. When we arrived, we went from Tropical, to Cofresi, to presidential when I finally got a room (we booked tropical origianlly). On the way to the room, we were totally surprised when our room was already occupied. The security guard had to let us into a random room with one FULL sized bed. We were 2 adults, 2 children aged 5&12. Children slept on the bed, husband and I on the floor. We called the front desk and they told us they would bring us a cot, never did. - in the morning we went to the front to get our room setteled. They told us they were over booked and had no rooms with 2 beds, and no cots available. We had to fight for an hour to get what we paid for... they told us to come back at 3 for a room. Finally got a room, Toilet in the room was clogged everyday. At checkout, I noticed my daughter didn't have on her bracelet. I pulled out my card ready to pay the $200 fee for losing it. They so kindly said they would talk to someone to see if I still needed to pay. they told me they are going to let me pay $100 instead. I so gratefully agreed and handed over my card. They then brought out a paper for me to sign saying in exchange for the discount, I needed to give them a good review. Bribery.

The kids like the water. 2:15 to check in. No organization people jumping haed of other. Chev Check in 2:30 was told room was not ready went back at 4: 30 was told one was one was not. Back at 5:30 no one at the frontdesk would help. Went to security he got a bell boy who got my key. 2 times i asked for manager was denied.

It was nice and had many comfortable lounging areas. The bedrooms were alright and had basic necessities. Unfortunately no free internet access. I would recommend for a quick stay and beach experience but it is not a luxury location.
