I’ve stayed here twice, and my experiences were very different.
On my first stay, everything was excellent. I landed around 9:30 AM, and they kindly checked me in very early! I even received the champagne perk from Expedia. The room on the 1st floor was quiet, clean, comfortable, and really perfect. It set the bar very high.
My second stay was less positive. I arrived late at night (around midnight) and had trouble with the key card system not working. The night porter had to help me into the room, which unfortunately smelled strongly of smoke. I requested to be moved, but the second room also smelled like smoke and was very loud due to being next to a disco. I barely got any rest that night, which was disappointing.
On the plus side, breakfast was excellent, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is also fantastic, within easy walking distance of many sights, and surrounded by cafés and restaurants. The first experience is why I booked it again.
Overall, I’d call it a mixed bag. This hotel can be wonderful under the right circumstances. I really liked the first night. I think the first-floor rooms might be ideal.
