Great location

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with our grandson. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was swift and efficient. We had an issue to do with housekeeping during our stay that took a couple of days to be dealt with and we had to chase twice with reception before it was resolved. At times service was very slow in the restaurant and the children's menu really would benefit from more healthy options instead of the usual meals that only come with chips! But children do eat free so I guess one balances out the other. The food was presented well and tasted good however and breakfast was great. The hotel pool was excellent, no booking required and the location of the hotel to the sea front and dockyard was ideal for our stay.

Calls and Emails to the Hotel were Ignored

Hotel staff were excruciatingly difficult to contact before the trip. I tried calling multiple times and sent two emails in attempts to contact staff before the stay as I had questions to ask. I finally got through to someone in the Corporate Bookings Team who sent an email to hotel on my behalf but no one responded. This was very disappointing. The car park is incredibly busy and tight so reverse-parking and turning around it in is very difficult. Also, on the last night at around 23:00, a woman had clearly had a lot to drink and could be heard screeching and singing at the top of her voice. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and it was clear they have made attempts to be more environmentally friendly. Staff were polite and friendly.

Was average in our opinion. Our bed was a small double, there was only one set of towels out and the room was hot. Restaurant was ridiculous as had to pay for each course separately (pay as you go) so put us off having dessert. Half food wasnt available and one waitress was very laissez faire in her attitude. When we did eventually find something on the menu it tasted good BUT it wasnt what we wanted. Very very poor gluten free options, infact only steak!! Convenient for ferry port.

It was fine.

We stayed here the night before a cruise. It was adequate. We were disappointed that the hot tub was closed when we arrived after a long day on a plane we were looking forward to it. Also the “all day menus” had 3 items. Garlic bread, side salad, and soup. The garlic bread was surprisingly satisfying though I’d hardly call it all day dining. The staff was friendly but they didnt have knowledge about how to get to the port. We took an Uber for about £6. The rooms were small and underwhelming, but clean and sufficient for one night.

Great service on the first night we got there, ordered room service which did take an hour to arrive however minimal staff on. What we ordered was out of stock so got a free pizza instead. Staff member dealing with it was very polite, didn’t get their name but a credit to the hotel. Air con didn’t work in the room, was going to ask to be swapped to another however after chatting with another couple appears it wasn’t working across hotel - room was extremely warm due to this and wasn’t pleasant to stay in. Also had issues with the shower draining properly
