Totally Disgusted!

Pros: Location
Location: Location near water and within walking distance of most sights and services
Booked an "economy double" room for 3 nights for a May 2018 stay. The room was extremely tiny with a damp, musty odor, a lumpy bed and was not only located between a utility closet and the elevator, but was directly behind the front desk. The view out of the small window was an alley.This so called "economy" room cost more per night than any economy room should! We have stayed in many hotel rooms all over the world and never have we seen anything quite like this. When we attempted to pay for an upgrade, all the guy at the front desk could say in English was, "sorry, not my problem." When the manager, Enrico, was called (as he was not on the premises), he was argumentative, belligerent, confrontational and rude. We held our collective breaths and reluctantly stayed 1 night, quickly finding excellent accommodations elsewhere. Advice - avoid this place at all costs!

Dear Lori Thank you for your review. We cannot accept that you describe our rooms like musty and dampy because they are completely new, all furniture change in march 2018. There was no possibility of having an upgrade and when I talked to the phone with you I offer to find you an alternative accomodation and you refused it offending me and my collegueas. so probably you were rude and aggressive and even if you are a client we cannot accept such a behaviour. My duty is to assist clients but not the rude ones who are decribing fake thins The management

Misrepresentation of the Hotel.

Pros: Nothing. The room they gave us was overlooking the ventilation system of a restaurant next door and not in the hotel we booked.
Cons: For them to be transparent and honest during booking of the hotel that you may be staying at a different location in an apartment.
Location: The location was good. Two blocks from the train station.
We booked the Hotel for two nights. The paperwork said that it would be an economy room for a substantial amount of money. When we checked in at the front desk they said since we booked an economy room "you will be staying in a different building down the street. It was an apartment building above a retail store called Hotel over Flo. No front desk and no telephone.They said we could eat Breakfast at their hotel. The second morning as we were leaving the stairway the door handle on the outside fell off and it was difficult to get out of the building. We reported it to the staff at the hotel and they said they would fix it. It was not fixed when we checked out of the hotel 2 days later.

Dear Mr J Thank you for your review. Please note that in your confirmation there was the information that economy rooms can be located in a nearby building. However when we showed you the economy room at the main property (so not at the front desk but after having checked the room) you asked us to find an alternative accomodation and so we proposed you our depandance that you accepted considering that you had a window overlooking the sea. The rooms you stayed was completely new, bigger in size than the one you booked and with all comforts. You received a welcome drink and had breakfasts and snacks with us very day. Concerning the handle it was a problem that we tried to fix but considering the week end and the fact that's a small village it's not so easy to find a technician. However you have never been locked outside. Anyway we apologise for not having found you an accomodation suitable to your needs and we hope to improve our staff feedback with guests Thank you The Management

Great views and close to dock

Pros: The location and views were awesome
Cons: There was no iron available in our room, although they offered laundry service
Location: Located at the marina, you need to use the forniculare to climb the mountain. It also closes early, and we had to walk back after dinner
We arrived from Sorrento on the ferry and had to walk a short way to our hotel. The front desk attendant was very friendly and upgraded our room with a view. She helped us get oriented and gave us a map of the towns. We loved Capri
