Great hotel with best view over Douro river

It was a great hotel with best views in Porto. Clean room, great service, nice food. Welcome drink during check in. On the negative side: hotel didn't congratulate me on my birthday. It could be a small gesture like bottle of wine in the room or even a card. Absolutely nothing. During last 10 years travelling and staying in different hotels around the world it was my first birthday when hotel didn't pay attention to me on my birthday....

Very good position right near the bridge. The lower floors miss out on any sort of view so we were disappointed not to be offered the upper floors as we did book 2 rooms. The phoneline to Reception from one of our rooms didnt work which was a bit of a hassle as well. Very friendly staff to checkin and they offer a complimentary drink on arrival. Parking was only available across the road which was a bit of a hike carrying suitcases up the steep side streets.

Wish I’d stayed longer

The hotel entrance is beautiful and smells amazing! The room was very tastefully decorated, Clarins toiletries, coffee machine and the view of the bridge was amazing. Just a shame I couldn’t try the breakfast as it starts at 7.30 and I had to leave early. Will be my first choice if I ever stay in Porto again!

This has to be the best property in Porto—if not all of Portugal. In fact, it’s now one of our personal favorites anywhere in the world. The attention to detail and level of service here are truly spectacular. Pair that with a prime location and a view that feels priceless, and it’s hard to believe how affordable it was. If you’re reading this, stop considering other properties in Porto. It simply doesn’t get any better than this.
