Great place to stay to visit Porto

Hotel was excellent. Accommodation and Service could not be faulted. Although initially you get the vibe it’s an oasis in a dingy part of town, entering from a typical Porto City Street, we had no trouble whatsoever and the hotel was central to all that we wanted to do. It was very handy to the fabulous Bolhão Market and to the Trindade metro stop where the purple line comes direct from the Airport Room was clean and modern. Breakfast was out of this world. Staff on the front desk and at breakfast were so helpful too. We had a fantastic time

The property was beautifully decorated. Everything seemed clean and new. We would’ve loved to have had a window that opened a bit in our room. We were on the first floor.Other than that no suggestions. The staff was super helpful with securing a tour on the dull river and also getting reservations at a popular seafood restaurant.

A lovely hotel. The staff were amazing, they made a huge effort to make my partners birthday special. The beds were very comfortable and the bar roof top bar and pool were amazing. Very close the the metro to get into Porto riverside and tourists spots. PI would highly recommend this hotel and we are already planning our next trip.

Upon check-in the reception team was really kind and helpful. Overall, throughout my stay the reception was always very smiley and happy to help which was lovely. I found the room delightfully spacious and the bed comfortable; it’s on the harder side but I don’t like soft beds. The AC was strong enough to make the room a comfortable temperature. There were also ample plugs for charging devices which was great, especially by the desk. The pool is small and there aren’t many chairs. If you want one, you should get there early. However there are also several seats on the restaurant terrace that many use to relax and that’s ok as well. Unfortunately, there also were children not obeying the pool rules and not looked after by their parents which was quite frustrating. Despite this, the rooftop is a nice area to relax and the gentlemen working the rooftop bar were very kind and had a good attitude. The breakfast had amazing variety and the fresh fruits were fantastic as was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel breakfast! It’s also very helpful that they post a chart of how crowded the breakfast is likely to be and that you can take your coffee to go :) Overall, after this third visit, if I’m ever back in Porto I will make sure to check out the price for this hotel. For this stay it was fantastic value for money and suited my needs very well. The breakfast upcharge for once was really worth it and I will make sure to add that on if I’m back.

From the same name but not the same service

Worst of experiences in Porto. Had a dental emergency so I needed to extend my stay by one day. I looked on the Hotels.com app and it was €88/night. I attempted to reach out to the hotel through the app to see if they could make the accommodation so that they would block out my room from room service and not book a new room. This was my mistake because I waited until I returned to the hotel(20 min later) to make the accommodation of my extended stay. The hotel staff were able to make the accommodation for an addition €40/night. I said that I would just book through the app if it was that much of an increase. When I pulled up the app again, the price available was now also €40 more. I begrudgingly paid the increase while vocalizing the radical price change in such a short amount of time. No one on the front desk staff offered a discount or price match or any other adjustment, but did charge me for the city tax for two people for the previous three night and the additional night though I had already paid for one foe the first three nights on checkin(€18 extra, 6€/day), so the price increased again. I went to my room, booked a different hotel with more amenities for the same price of the new charge at this hotel. The hotel finally responded the following day saying they offered a 10% discount and I had rejected that offer. The staff responded indignantly that there was nothing they could do about the price of the room.

The staff immediately welcomed us with a glass of sparkling wine and took time to go over points of interest on a map with us. Our room was clean, comfortable and functional. The breakfast for 15 euros per person was well stocked with everything we could have possibly wanted to eat. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and they had several different types of coffee available. We ate cooked to order omelets each day and they also had fried or scrambled eggs with sides of bacon and sausage. Lots of fresh fruit and yogurt was also served alongside multiple pastries.
