8/10 Good

The location is genuinely hard to beat — steps from Porto's historic centre, which made sightseeing effortless. That's the clear highlight of this stay. That said, be warned: the street is surprisingly noisy throughout the night, even in February well outside peak season. Light sleepers should bring earplugs or request a quieter room. The facilities were generally adequate, but small details were lacking. We arrived as a group of 5 and found only 4 usable glasses — a fifth was broken and hadn't been replaced. It's a minor thing, but worth flagging for larger groups. The biggest frustration was host communication. Entry instructions were not provided ahead of check-in, requiring a phone call upon arrival to get access details. On top of that, the contact number listed on the VRBO platform was invalid — thankfully, a registration email included a working number, but that's not something guests should have to hunt for. I also sent a message before checkout asking about a luggage drop option and never received a reply. For a platform that emphasizes host responsiveness, this fell short.Overall, if you prioritize location above all else and don't mind a bit of noise and minimal host support, this place will do the job. But there's clear room for improvement on the hospitality side.— Stayed February 2026, group of 5
