The boutique type hotel is located in the heart of the historic city of Porto. Walking distance to everything, including sites and restaurants. The accommodation is OUTSTANDING, great customer service, friendly staff, and exceptional breakfast. The place provides a home away from home feeling or a mom and pop bed and breakfast… simple superb. I highly recommend the hotel to couples, partners, small family, or individuals looking to venture in Porto. A must place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, so much food to fuel you for the day. Room was nice and quiet. Bottled water is available, you just have to ask, as well as corkscrews and wine glasses if you fancy buying wine in town and enjoying in your room at the end of a long day touring. Location was fantastic. Cannot say enough nice things about the staff there - they were amazing!

Great breakfast and wonderful staff. The hotel is in a good location but is not accessible by car so if you arrive by taxi you do have to walk a short distance of about 200 metres from the drop off point to the hotel. It was no problem for us but it could be a problem for people with mobility issues.

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough about Ada, Luis and Luisa! The breakfast was unbelievable! It was by far the best breakfast during our entire visit throughout Portugal. And the location was perfect - walkable, view from our room and proximity to many restaurants.

The staff at Guest House Douro is amazing! Friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. We had a room overlooking the river which was very clean and comfortable but very small. Guests traveling with large luggage may want to ask about larger room options. Also, the hotel is off a pedestrian street which is not accessible to Uber drivers. Take a taxi if you don’t want to pull bags for a couple of blocks. Great stay! We wish we could have spent longer!

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Guest House Douro! Amazing location, our room looked out on the river and Gaia but was still very quiet thanks to double paned windows. Staff were so friendly and helpful, made dinner reservations for us. Breakfast included a mountain of delicious tropical fruit, such a treat! Also yogurt, cheese, eggs, toast, granola and fantastic coffee. Just be aware that rooms are quite small—but cleverly designed to make the most of every inch. Highly recommend!

Guest House Duoro is a very nice place to stay and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Its proximity to the river and numerous restaurants was also a real plus. Breakfast was terrific too. My only nit pick critique is that it would have been nice to have a couple of glasses in the bathroom to make it easier to brush your teeth and rinse.
