Charming and calm house
Positives - large enough to accommodate 9 of us using the garden room. Plenty of space inside and nice verandah at the front. kitchen was well equipped and had a drinks cooler.
Close to the local supermarket, pingo, as we didn’t have a car
Train is about 10 mins walk away, although trains are infrequent
Uber into porto is easy and cheap
Things that could be better-
Of our large party only one person had a comfortable bed. In the garden room there was only one small pillow each.
Showers were hot and cold. The entrance into the shower in the garden room would be very tight for some people as its very barrow
Towels provided were poor quality
Dining room table is very high for children as it doubles as a pool table (which you can’t use)
We were unable to use the bbq - no charcoal provided
Had to air the house for some time when we arrived - it hadn’t been occupied for some time and smelt very musty. Some plates were covered in mould.
