Fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay in Porto! The accommodations were beautiful and in walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums and wineries. Luisa had great communication and was very helpful, as was the cleaning staff. A+. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful location

Lovely apartment with everything you need from a comfy bed to a shower with excellent pressure. The location was perfect down a quiet pretty street with beautiful view, central enough to get to all Porto’s main attractions within a easy stroll. Would definitely highly recommend!!

Wonderful apartment

Thank you Luisa. San Miguel Apartments was a great place for our Porto stay. Great location, very close to everything, so clean, quiet and comfortable. Luisa was a Great host, organising our pick up from the airport and letting us know the good local restaurants and places or interest worth visiting, with maps and clear information. Beautifully appointed apartment, wonderful hosts

The duplex is a beautiful space, full of light and tastefully decorated. Very quiet. The hosts Ligia and Luisa could not be more welcoming. The location is a good midpoint between the crowded cais and the upper parts of Porto. Highly recommend. One small caution. The stairs in the duplex are a little steep. Probably not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Some of the other offerings in this building from the same hosts might be a better option.

Modern & well run

The unit is well located for both riverside and town centre. It is very clean and modern inside, with the outdoor patio a pleasant quiet area. Very nice bathrooms on both levels. The steepish stairs down to main bedroom may be a negative for the less mobile. The communication before and after arrival is probably the best and most enthusiastic of our trip. Thanks.

Amazing Time in Porto!

Our experience at Soa Miguel Apartments was wonderful. Ligia welcomed us when we arrived and helped answer our many questions about Porto. She was very nice and knowledgeable. Lovely and in the heart of Porto

Clean with nice design touches and modern amenities like a kitchen and two bathrooms (great hot water pressure!). It does not have a washer/dryer but a very good selfservice laundrette is a few minutes' walk away. The landlady, Louisa, was extremely helpful and on site every day of our stay. Note: this apartment has a steep flight of stairs to the bedroom, so might not be the best choice for everyone. That said, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer, more reasonably priced flat in the heart of the old quarter. Highly recommended.

Ideal location,lovely apartment.

We spent a long weekend in this lovely apartment , which is ideally located in the old town of Porto. Luisa also arranged our taxi transfers, which was great, the taxi driver was at the airport waiting for us on our arrival, and picked us up from the apartment for our return. Everything we needed was in the apartment. The outside space was ideal for breakfast,and a glass of vino before bedtime!! Luisa was very helpful with her recommendation of local restaurants, but beware , they are very busy at the weekends! I would definitely recommend this apartment for any couple.

My daughter and I had a lovely getaway to Porto. A beautiful, friendly city!

The San Miguel apartment was perfect for what we were looking for during our stay. It was situated in a very central location to all the sights. We were greeted by Luisa who helped us get settled in, she was informative and gave lots of good recommendations. The only thing I would suggest is asking for an extra towel or two and an iron & ironing board. Description said it came with one but never was able to find. Overall - great spot!

Perfect Accommodation in a Perfect Location

I can't speak highly enough of this beautiful property, located in a charming authentic part of town. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind, and it felt as though they had thought of everything. They arranged to pick us up from the train station, and arranged for our ride to the airport at the end. The apartment itself was beautifully clean (cleaner than most of the hotels I've stayed in) and it is finished to a very high standard. The location is perfect, near to the waterfront, and within walking distance of all the tourist attractions, but still feels authentic. The street itself is quiet and peaceful. I have had many Home Away and Air B and B rentals over the years, and in all honestly, I think this is the best managed and maintained property I have ever rented. Thank you Luisa for a perfect few days in this romantic and wonderful town.

We stayed as a couple in July 2018 for 4 nights. The first floor apartment is clean, well finished, comfortable and spacious. Two lovely bathrooms and showers with a big living area, the apartment always felt cool, well ventilated and peaceful. The location is ideal either for a stroll down to the River Douro and the myriad of restaurants catering for all budgets or for the many places of interest in the Centro Historico. Even the port lodges on the opposite side of the river are easily accessed. Sao Bento station with its amazing interior is a short walk and the connection with the metro (for wider explorations) and train lines. Porto is a terrific city to discover. Luisa arranged the taxi from the airport, welcomed us warmly despite our delayed late flight and was frequently around downstairs should we have needed anything, which as it happened we did not. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful stay in Porto

We started our trip to Portugal in Oporto and stayed in the lovely apartment (1B) run by Luisa and Ligia and it was just perfect. The location is ideal for exploring the city by foot (but be prepared to climb stairs, it is a vertical city!), the apartment was exactly as pictured: clean with a small patio off the kitchen and a perfectly dark bedroom down a tight set of stairs. We slept like babies and took wonderful hot showers. We highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Oporto!

We loved our stay in Ligia's flat. We stayed in the ground floor flat, with stairs to the downstairs bedroom. The flat was exceptionally well kept, with two bathrooms and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the small outdoor courtyard, and the kitchen had all the basics we needed for a simple breakfast and snacks. While the flat was below ground level, everything possible has been done to let in natural light. It was quiet and made for an excellent night's sleep. The location was also a big bonus. Ligia recommended several local restaruants which we tried out and loved. We walked everywhere we wanted to go over the course of our 3 day visit, and found a new suprise in the city every day. Ligia also kindly arranged a taxi pick up upon our arrival at the train station and for our departure to the airport. No hassels. Porto is magical. We would go again and happily stay in the flat a second time

Lovely apartment in old town Porto

Ligia and Luisa were extremely helpful and kind. Apartment 1B was just as described and photographed for VRBO. Everything was exceptionally clean, up-to-date and convenient. The location in the old town was perfect for a touristic visit. We will be returning for a second stay.

Comfortable apartment in great location

We had a great stay in Porto . Apartment was very comfortable and attractively furnished and decorated and in a great location to see the sights of Porto and with cafes , bakeries and restaurants nearby . Luisa was wonderful in communicating with us prior to our arrival and was very helpful in giving suggestions of places to see and eat. We especially enjoyed Taberna Avo which is right around the corner and the suggestions that Luisa gave us.The apartment is located in an area that needs a little work like Luiga and Luisa have given to their property . Our apartment had one spacious bedroom with private bath which is located down a tight winder on the flight of stairs and the second bed was a foldout futon in the living area with its own bath, as well. We enjoyed the patio just off the well equipped kitchen with a blackboard covered with chalk drawings of previous guests. I highly recommend and can confidently say that Luisa will take good care of you!
