This is absolutely fabulous place! The room was super clean with a big comfortable bathroom. The view from the balcony was stunning! We could see rock formations and the sea. Unique! The hotel building is a one-of-a-kind architectural masterpiece located on top of a cliff. It has a small very private beach surrounded by cliffs. The owner collects antique museum-quality furniture, which is displayed in all public areas, so it feels like staying at a museum. Beautiful views. Very quiet, no people around at all. Surely, a hidden gem!

A very special and unique place to stay

We arrived for a 2 night stop over and didn’t want to leave. The space itself is quite remarkable and unique. So much attention to making sure that guests have lots to do. The private beach is a little on the inaccessible side, but well worth the trip down. The walk over the cliffs to Alvor beach and caves is wonderful. Ali, his son and friendly dog are perfect hosts. Lots to draw and paint too. Would highly recommend

The picture is NOT the advertised beach. You would have to climb down a ladder to get to whatever beach there is at low tide. We paid for an ocean view for 2-night stay but were given a tennis court view; we requested refund of the difference for the room change MULTIPLE times but got no response.

Before arriving, there was great communication from the owner. I planned to arrive late in the evening and he was ready for me when I got to the property. The view from my room was spectacular. I had a balcony on which I was able to eat breakfast (an extra charge, but it was delivered to my room and was fantastic.) The sunrise over the water was divine and I couldn't wait to walk down to the beach to see the water up close. If you want access to the beautiful Algarve region, this is a great hotel to visit. Also, on the property: tennis courts, a pool, a game room, quiet spaces, and outdoor benches to view the water. I immediately regretted not booking more time at this fabulous resort.

Wir sind spät angereist und wurden trotzdem persönlich von Vater und Sohn empfangen. Auch als uns das Zimmer aus persönlichen Gründen nicht zusagte, konnten wir sofort in ein anderes umziehen. Alles war super sauber, sehr ruhig, alle waren sehr freundlich, wir wurden gut umsorgt und haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Gute Tipps für die Umgebung haben wir auch bekommen. Das Frühstück im Zimmer auf dem Balkon mit Sicht auf das Meer ist traumhaft. Durch die grandiose Lage ist alles herrlich ruhig, man ist mitten in der Natur. Alles in allem ein super entspannter Aufenthalt, bei dem nur das Wetter nicht richtig mitgespielt hat. Wir wollen auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
