Location was everything. Upon check in on Saturday, the garbage cans were full outside already. The owner did advise the cans should be kept under the stairs so whoever checked out must of left them out which made us wonder how clean, and ready the house really was.
My kids took the room with the bunk beds. The blankets had stains with the beds made in that room and the room next to the game room also had stains. The pillows in the rooms also had stains. There was a random square panel that was part of the wall, not held together by anything. It was just placed there which caused it to fall off a couple times.
We attempted to open the window in the dining room, and the top part of the window fell which we were not aware it was broken as there was nothing closing the window off. The owner responded immediately which was appreciated. We were advised management would send someone to fix the next morning. After about 40 minutes we were able to fix the window, and kept it closed the remainder of the stay.
The lid to the garbage can was broken. The shower head next to the laundry room had a loose screw causing that to come undone/fall. Fireplace does not work. In the game room, the dart board fell on one of the guest leaving a mark.
By the end of the trip, it was like walking on egg shells because we felt like everything was kind of falling apart.
The quality of cleanliness made us very skeptical making it uncomfortable. There was garbage under the beds. It seemed like they just clean the surface of some things.
The property itself has so much potential. It's a beautiful home it just needs some maintenence work, and a better cleaning company.
The owner was helpful, attentive, and very nice. Location is most of the stars, honestly. Very nice beach about 3 minute walk. Parking was very convenient and spacious. We were also provided with some boards for the water etc.
