Great location but we won't be back!!!
I booked this condo for 3 weeks in January 2020 for my wife and I with plans to have our son and daughter stay with us for part of the time. Although I never talked to the owner on the phone we did have good communication by email prior to our arrival. We knew we would be arriving before the check in time and were told by the owner an early check in was available to us. However, when we showed up he was very surprised we were there and seemed very perturbed when we asked if we could leave our baggage there while we killed some time and went for lunch. When we came back an hour later, the owner was gone. Not only that, but there was no information left in the condo regarding important things like when and where is trash pick up, WiFi password, how we get water for the dispenser etc. Nothing!
The condition of the condo was great, however it was dirty. There was a used coffee filter with grounds in the coffee maker and toothpaste smears in the guest room sink. The floor was filthy- walking in barefeet for 5 minutes in the condo and the bottoms of our feet were dirty.
The kitchen was not stocked well many items missing ( bowls). The TV remotes did not work, there was only 1 beach chair which I must say I was afraid to sit in because it looked about to fall apart. A condo that advertises “ walking distance to the beach” should at least have beach chairs/accessories. The pedastel fan in the guest room did not work and the shower head in the guest bath sprayed water all over the bathroom .
Not having Wifi password made it difficult to get in touch with the owner – thank goodness I had printed out all of the emails I had with the owner so that I could try to get in touch with either the owner or the property manager. Luckily our daughter was with us and had her cell phone to call the owner/property manager. Our daughter called the owner and left a message but this call was never returned in 3 weeks.
The mattress pad on one of the guest room beds was disgusting. It was all ripped and tattered and needed to go right in the garbage. I will include these pictures of this and a few other items in the condo that was sub-par.
On a more positive note, I must say that the condo location was absolutely perfect. The lanai was great as well.
Also important – don’t expect any real support from this owner/renter. In addition to phone calls not being returned, we requested a late checkout and was told "no".
