Room was great, staff was nice, owl demonstration was awesome....BUT, the dog howling, barking and terrified 2 rooms down was unacceptable. I paid for my room, which wasn't cheap, and I should not have had to listen to that poor dog cry all day who was dumped by the selfish owners.

Very flexible! We had nowhere to board our dog and it was actually less expensive to have her come with us! I called the day prior to let them know, they thought they may have to switch us rooms but they kept us in the same room and gave her all the pampering in the world! We were very fortunate to have chosen such a beautiful and accommodating resort.

High Peaks Resort is on the main street through Lake Placid, putting it within walking distance of a broad seletion of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a balcony view, but never looked outside because it was usually dark by the time we got back from skiing. The pool and jacuzzi also looked nice, but we never got a chance to try it out. Staff was friendly.
