Very nice stay in Borca di Cadore. Some improvement can be made (for example the mattresses) but overall the premises and facilities are good. Reception staff is great, personnel at breakfast could be more welcoming. Overall very good value for money and experience.

My partner and I recently stayed here and loved it. Absolutely beautiful building and grounds to explore. The room was lovely and clean with antique furniture to enhance the overall feel. Staff were all very friendly, with amazing service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and great food. Easy parking and accessibility to the town but just far enough away to feel a million miles away.

Great hotel that has that old world charm. You can just imagine it is 1940 from the vintage look but still very clean and well kept. The room 201 was amazing, new comfy bed, great bathroom with very strong pressure shower and a view to die for. There was a fridge in the room and a very small t.v. It was a disabled roo. They gave us for some reason but it was perfect. So much more space and the mountain view was amazing.

Check-in was slow and surprisingly disorganized, especially for something that should be routine. The location and building, however, were lovely. Enjoying a glass of wine at the sun-soaked bar was a highlight—absolutely outstanding. The restaurant, located in the basement, had a somewhat industrial vibe that felt a bit out of place given the charm of the rest of the property.

Decent location, great views of the mountains. The room was fine in size and amenities but there was an awful smell the entire time. We let the staff know on day one and they sent staff up to fix it (we believe it had to do with the pipes) and the smell went away slightly. But by our third day it was back with a vengeance - smelled of some sort of dampness or sewage, extremely unpleasant.

This hotel is advertised as a 4-star property, but our experience was far below that standard. The biggest issue was the bed. The mattress was as hard as concrete, and you could clearly feel the springs pressing into your back. It was one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept on. I woke up with significant back pain that affected the rest of my day. The breakfast buffet was equally disappointing. There were a couple of flies all over the cold cuts, which was both unappetizing and a serious hygiene concern. It was shocking to see this in a hotel that claims to be four stars. When I spoke to the manager about the mattress, he simply moved us to another room and insisted that all of the mattresses were new. He offered no real solution, no acknowledgment that there might be a problem, and refused to cancel my reservation or any refund or compensation. I was ready to move to a different hotel. A comfortable bed and proper food hygiene are basic expectations, especially at a 4-star hotel. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on both counts, and the way management handled the situation only made the experience worse. I would not stay here again, and I hope this review helps other travelers make an informed decision before booking.
