Title: A Hidden Gem of Comfort and Hospitality! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 From the moment I arrived at You Eng Hotel, I felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay perfect — their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stood out. Check-in was quick and smooth, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean, modern, and comfortable my room was. Every detail, from the crisp linens to the perfectly working air conditioning, showed how much care the hotel puts into guest satisfaction. The location is incredibly convenient — just a short drive to the airport and close to great restaurants and shops. Despite being near the old airport, the hotel feels peaceful and restful, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, with plenty of options to suit every taste. What really made my stay memorable was the genuine accomodating attitude of the staff. They greeted me by name, helped me with transportation, and even offered local tips that made exploring the area effortless. You simply can’t ask for better hospitality. The property is waaaaay under rated. They need to renovate the cheaper rooms and deodorize. The slightly more expensive rooms are a great value. Half the price for the same quality compared with many city centre lodgings. A nice sky garden to relax, exercise, or have a picnic. The area has very nice Cambodian and Dimson food, cheaper but still quality shopping. A nice area to get away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas and unwind.

We did not get the room we booked. One of the mattresses in our room was 5 inches thick and very hard. I found a drug paraphernalia bag with crack or meth, glass pipes etc. in the chest of drawers. We brought the bag to the front desk for them to deal with and to not be accused of drug possession and use leading to legal troubles. Someone's personal items were still in closet and dressing table and are still there now as I write this. The tv remote had to be replaced. There was no remote for the climate control. Our check in host worked very hard and was able to get the remotes for us and in woorking order. She was very pleasant and accommodating. We had to go into the stairwell to use internet from one of the other rooms on our floor. We were patient the next day hoping the hotel would fix things for us thinking it was busy because it's the weekend. They did not. Sunday morning we asked to be moved to the room we booked but they declined. There are 3 rooms per floor and 8 floors in Hanoi Shining Hotel. We were informed by another host 1 room on each floor was like ours. They could not change our room because they were booked by someone else. We watched many guests check out on Sunday and we are to check out on Tuesday (4 nights total). Our substandard room was not cleaned after our first night. The receptionist informed us that they did not have a key because the tenant of our room was in south Vietnam on business.and they did not have another. The cleaner a key today.
