Bit hesitant but so glad I booked this hotel and spa. Used the facilities of the swimming pool and Sauna and provided a good evening and morning breakfast. All the staff I spoke to were most helpful. Would definitely stay again.

We only had a stop over, we stayed in the part that I guess was modern a few years ago, it could do with a refresh now and it's become dated. It needs a bit of money spent on it.

Clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff. But what got me was the dump and mouldy smelling bathroom. (Room 8) Not sure how this is acceptable in 2026. Massive disappointment. Booked elsewhere in Peterborough for the rest of the week.

Had a fantastic stay at Orton hall. Although the hall is a little tired it is absolutely beautiful soaking up the history of it. In the corridors there are papers telling you all about the hall which makes very interesting reading. All the staff we spoke to were very accommodating and friendly. We went to the ramblers for evening meal which was delicious. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty of seating in different areas. The spa and pool were fabulous, jacuzzi a little small however fully enjoyed as it wasn't that busy. Will definitely be back, wonderful stay thankyou 😁

Overall we had a great time and for the price we paid I do feel it was great value for money. Pros: friendly staff, clean room, great food, great history of the building and the pool and steam room was amazing. Breakfast was superb! Cons: (but nothing bad that would stop me going again just slight tweaks I feel would help) grounds are amazing but need some attention, sauna was either not working properly or was simply running too low, food and staff in Huntleys restaurant were fab however the room the restaurant in is so nice little things like wires hanging down the wall and seats where the view was let it down, the space could be used a lot better. I feel it’s a solid high end 3 star hotel and misses the critical touches of a 4 star however I’ve given it a 4 purely down to the staff as they were so accommodating.

We had a family bedroom with two beds in a quite spacious room above reception. The room was ok but a little tired. Hotel is on the outskirts of Peterborough and we stayed there for easy access to Burghley house and Stamford Village which are 20 to 30 minute drive away. Hotel is quite close to the A1 and also there is a heritage railway nearby. Breakfast was good and was set in the older part of the house. I guess it’s often use for wedding functions because the older part of the house looks very nice. Good facilities with spa, pool and gym. Also part of the hotel grounds was a pub with food. Overall a good stay for one night.

Overall a lovely spot to stay, travelling on business. Gym is super small and they could do more with the space they have by stripping out some of the bulky treadmills etc and just putting in some weights / kbs / mats. Also my single bed wasn’t amazingly comfy. But would I stay again. Yes, 100%. Staff are great (reception were super helpful as I’d actually booked the wrong night!), breakfast was lovely and the setting / story is gorgeous. Pub next door was decent for dinner. Recommend.
