This hotel is close to one of the town squares and an area with restaurants, but is tucked away on a quieter street. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very forgiving of attempts by tourists to practice their Italian skills (and the staff is fluent in English). The hotel itself is a gem, with frescos on the ceiling in one of the gathering areas as well as throughout the building, and a beautiful view on the top level which is perfect for picnic suppers. The breakfast area is well-stocked and the attendant makes sure you have everything you need. The staff explained the best way to reach other areas by bus and train and provided a map, so we weren't left wandering the streets of Perugia. Kind people and good accommodations.
