4/10 Poor

Two hotels share a common main floor. Rally unique setup but signs point in the right direction. Parking garage attached to the whole thing was nice.
Staff at check in was cordial and professional. Room was wll kept if a little cold and did have a very sterile smell to it.
I had left my room for about two hours and when I returned I met a stranger leaving my room as I was walking in. He held up a key and said that his key opened my room by mistake. I got into my room and noticed some personal items stolen. I went back to the door and he was gone.
I went to the front desk and told them what happened and their first question was. "Was he a guest or did he look homeless?"
Security was called over repeat the scenario and he gave me the same question. No one on staff at that time had access to anything that could look for the guy or see if his badge he showed me did actually scan into my room until the night shift came in. I heard my door make a noise at 10pm. Looked in the peep hole and it was the night shift. Went to put some pants on and when I got back they were already gone. No knock at all.
When I checked out, the day staff were not made aware of the incident and they never even called the police to file a complaint. You would think that in the spirit of doing good business they would at least investigate or let the authorities know about it. But instead they just ignored it, and didn't even bother to tell the staff what happened.
Must be pretty common then.
