Room was very dirty. When you wiped up splattered water around the sink countertop with one of the towels the dirt on the towel was unbelievable. They must have given us one of the pet rooms because there was dog hair EVERYWHERE, the floor was covered, you could see it on the box springs, in the cabinet drawers. The website hipped up how great the buffet breakfast was, which was not good at all for what I was expecting. I personally will never stay at a Baymont by Wyndham again, for sure not the one in Galesburg IL!

After check in, as my son rolled the bedding down we discovered a dead bug under the top sheet. Not a bed bug. When i called the front desk no apology and an annoyed “Do you want to change rooms”. Moved to a new room-both rooms were dirty and the hotel is in need of many repairs and updating. On check out no acknowledgment of the bug issue or apology. Not recommended. I have uploaded a pic of the bug.

No blankets available when asked - only sheets so had to turn up heat as we were cold. Hospitality and buffet staff were accommodating. Front desk staff was helpful regarding hot water delay but took awhile to answer phone. Check out was fine.

There’s a bare bones reply for a review: the bed mattress was quality. It helped me sleep. The heat/air conditioner was not obnoxious. To me, that’s all you really need in a place to stay the night when you don’t want to fall asleep on the road. Most hotels/motels don’t get this right. Baymont did get it right.

Online showed the pool was open got there the pool was closed which is the reason I was staying there and not the hotel next door to it staff at the desk was rude I got there just before 3 pm was on line w hotels.com by 3:12 and they still hit me w penalty fee even tho I feel as if it was false ad

Pluses: The room was clean, the bed was relatively comfortable, it was quiet, and the heat functioned well. The shower worked fine and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast was decent as well. Needs work: The pillowcases were not very clean looking--they looked stained. The water for the tea at the breakfast bar was not hot at all--it needed to be heated up in the microwave. It's a two star hotel and I'd say it's a solid two plus hotel. Not great, but worth the money as long as you know what you're getting.

This hotel was filthy and dirty. The pool was nonfunctioning. We did not want to bring our stuff inside. We didn't even tell them we just left and went to a clean hotel and stayed there. A refund would be nice.

Room was "tired" and could use some updating. Coffee stains on lobby floor. Breakfast had few options, none hot. No hot chocolate available for the non-coffee drinkers. Sign on check in desk to "pick up phone" to get staff member, who came out from back room.

Check-in was great. Staff was very helpful. The room was okay. The carpet was odd, just loose on the ends and flared up against the wall, like it wasnt cut after installation. There were some random pieces of trash in the ground like a toothpick in the bathroom and what looked like nail clippings on the counter. Surfaces seemed clean other than that
