This boat launch in Passadumkeag, Maine sits right in the corner of the Penobscot River and the Passadumkeag River. It's one of my favorite places to sit in the evening and watch the sunset. Because Passadumkeag is extremely rural, this boat access is usually pretty solitary, but it's a great entry point into the calm waters of the Penobscot for kayakers and boaters.

The boat access is easy to find. It's located on Route 2, a simple drive through simple terrain with relatively little traffic. Travelers to Maine can follow my map pin right to the parking lot. It comfortably fits about four vehicles with trailers, but you'll rarely find more than one here at a time. Highly recommended for people who like to get out on the water and relax.
