Lovely property in a beautiful location. However it is severely let down by lack of management & direction. Staff work hard but do not seem trained and seldom smile. Half of the time nobody speaks english. Annexe is not ideal and our bathroom was small with the tiniest of showers. Evening food was excellent.

Happily stay again

Hotel Isla Seca is a very tranquil place as is Zapallar. The hotel service was very good, comfortable room and lovely staff. Excellent breakfast, whatever you want, if they can do it, they will. Would happily stay again.

Outstanding stay

Our stay was amazing! We loved everything about this small boutique hotel including our very beautiful, very comfortable large room (our daughter was with us and had a nice smaller room as well), our spectacular view (we even saw whales passing so make sure to book a room with an ocean view), the location up above our favourite beach Zapallar, the pool, the excellent food (especially breakfast) and the wonderful friendly efficient service. We enjoyed every minute of our 5 days there and hated leaving.

Terrible experience

We had a couple of days there and we fell sorry for that. We had a very nice room with nice view but the service in all areas was terrible. If you try to call reception they never answered. Then the restaurant is only for guests which is good but they have very strict rules with schedules, which is difficult because you don’t have other options close by and the waitresses are not prepared for service at all. It is a small hotel and when we were there was a lot of children around, a lot of noise everywhere and every hour, even very early. But the worst was that we had a rate with tax and fees included but when you travel to Chile if you are not a citizen from that country at the hotels they take away the taxes if you pay in US dlls said that when we made our check out they never took away the taxes even when we paid in US dlls and they were rude about It and never tried to help or gave any options. All of this is sad because you don’t have many options in Zapallar and this place can be very nice if they have more effective and trained staff.

Beautiful hotel setting, deserves better service.

My wife and I stayed only one night at this beautiful house/hotel. The room had a great ocean view, terrace included. Beach is a ten minute walk from the hotel and it takes another ten to reach the commercial street in Zapallar, a small town surrounded by a mix of old town homes and new upscale homes. We had dinner at the hotel and food was ok but service was very slow, even though we were almost alone. Next day I realized they start serving breakfast at 8:30. Too late when you are not on vacations but working in the area.

Beautiful hotel. Highly recommended!

We arrived for a two-day stay on Valentines Day. A lovely warm welcome after which we very belatedly booked dinnerl for the evening. We were given a table overlooking the pool and were then treated to an absolutely superb meal. As our Spanish is non-existent, the Manager personally came to our table to interpret the options for each course. It really was all very, very special.
