Tropical Hideaway with Southern Hospitality

If you are wanting an stress-free-stay, I would highly recommend this little tropical hideaway. The place was impeccably clean, and our host was the hostess with the most-ess. It is kid-friendly and the location is in walking distance from the beach, coffee, shops, and restaurants. Food trucks are everywhere on the main Highway. It was very hospitable and worth the money we spent for our 3 day stay. Remember, this is a non-smoking rental, but that didn’t bother us and we respected the house rules. Gull Reef met my expectations and more with their southern Hospitality.

We have found our forever vacation home!

Absolutely lovely! This was the first remark I made upon entering the home and it is still what comes to mind when I remember our stay at Gullreef. This lovely home has it all! You need only to bring your clothes, swimsuits and beach towels! Cheryl has thought of absolutely everything and has anything you could need to have a wonderful stay. If you can't find it within the home, just ask her and she will have it on property and will promptly get it to you! It's like staying at your favorite relative's home; it feels like home (maybe better,) they have everything you need and continue to ensure you are taken care of! Visiting with Mrs. Cheryl and Mr. Bill was an absolute delight! Very short walk across the street to the beach! Being Autistic, I really need to "know everything" and do not like to have to guess or figure something out. Cheryl has taken all the guesswork out of everything with the alphabetized rules and information to all the labels and reminder notes throughout the home to make for a stress-free stay. (Even the light switches are labeled! This is a HUGE PLUS for me!!) Our week was cut short by Hurricane Helene. I am so very glad that we purchased the travel insurance offered by VRBO. We filed a claim for the dates we lost, and the insurance company has already approved our claim, and the check is in the mail. This is the Gulf, so I would highly recommend anyone staying here during Hurricane season to spend the less than $100 to insure your entire trip.

Far exceeds expectations

The property is immaculate!!! Cheryl has the kitchen so well stocked, if you want it, it’s there. From crock pots to electric skillet to plastic sandwich bags. Most of all, she is a wonderful host. We came stranger but left as friends! My husband and I loved the area and will be back. One guest describes it as home and honestly, that’s it, home

Perfect Getaway

We had the best time staying here. It was our first time to Mexico Beach, but we plan on coming back. Cheryl was amazing to work with and was always available to answer questions. The house is very nice, the beds are so comfy and the kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. Could not have asked for anything more. We can’t wait to come back.

Excellent stay

This stay was booked because we were looking for a location that was quiet as well as conveniently accessible to the beach. Well this location met both criteria. It was easy to find, easy to access. The beds were comfortable and the decor was pleasing. It had everything we were looking for. Honestly we have never had such a well stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay there again. The owners were quick to welcome us and offer assistance should we encounter any problems - which we did not need. Highly highly recommend this Vrbo.

Gullreef

Gullreef rental is a gem. Within walking distance of beautiful Mexico Beach access. All amenities were readily available including beach cart, outdoor grills, and more. Hosts were amazing. Communication was excellent. Will definitely be back.

This was a lovely house…clean, quiet, homey, a short walk from the beach, with extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking your own meals. And Cheryl is an attentive and gracious host. We will be back!

More than I could have asked for!!!! We had everything we needed, all the little necessities! We inquired with the owner about the area, she answered all my questions immediately. Owners are precious people!!! So sweet, very much enjoyed talking with them. This place absolutely exceeded my expectations! My family will definitely be back!!! The house was perfect for us!!! Plenty of space. So clean!!! Zero complaints. Excellent location. Can't say enough wonderful things!!! We love low-key and slower paced... This was perfect!

Love Gull Reef

Perfect Getaway

Cheryl's place was wonderful and relaxing. We were very impressed with how clean it was. Her attention to detail made it obvious that she takes pride in her place and cares about her guests. Excellent Place to Stay!

Clean, comfortable, with a well-supplied kitchen, and lots of towels. Quick and easy walk to the beach with wagon and toys on site. The patio space and outdoor shower were great! Our hosts were personable and quick to respond to a request. We will definitely stay here again!

Great choice!

We had a wonderful stay! We truly had “no hurry and no stress” staying here. The house was very clean and comfortable, and we felt very safe in the neighborhood. The walk to the beach is very easy, and the beach cart made transporting everything we needed to take so much easier! The owners were so nice, and I would absolutely stay here again!

Absolutely great place to stay! Super clean and host Cheryl goes above and beyond with everything you need to have a fantastic vacation! Super short little walk to the beach, which was ideal. Family long weekend
