Tried to check in and was told they might not have a room available. I had a reservation and they said because it was after the 3:30 check in, they had given away my original room. They only had one person working and he had to go and physically check rooms to see if anything was available. One individual came down because his room had no pillows and was forced to take throw pillows from the lounge. When they did get us a room, it had not been cleaned. There were leftover feminine products in the trash can and it looked like the beds had been thrown together without being changed. Floors were dirty and the shower was disgusting. The key card lock also did not work, so they told me to go to the desk every time I needed to get in. We would have left, but there were no other options for the night and were forced to stay overnight. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I have had at a Holiday Inn and will not be choosing these as an option on future trips.

Staff couldn’t find the reservation, we were arriving late so I called the front desk. After finally finding the reservation I then had to call back multiple times and they had to send me an email with a form to put in my info and credit card for validation. I called back at least 5 times to get the reservation confirmed.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Holiday Inn Boca Raton - North was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others. I booked my reservation several weeks in advance while traveling from Maryland to Boca Raton for an incredibly special occasion — my son’s college senior night!This was not a casual trip. It was a milestone moment for my family. I landed late Tuesday night, February 24, 2026, at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and called the hotel to let them know I would arrive in about 20 minutes. I was left on hold for over 27 minutes — so long that I was still on hold when I physically arrived at the property. That is when I was informed — without apology, without prior notice, and without any reasonable solution — that the hotel had overbooked and no longer had a room available for me. Let that sink in. I had a confirmed reservation. I was traveling from out of state. I arrived late at night in a city I am unfamiliar with. And no one had the basic decency or professionalism to call, email, or notify me in advance that I would be left without accommodations. To make matters significantly worse, one female employee displayed an appalling attitude from the moment I approached the desk. Rather than showing empathy or attempting to resolve the situation, her demeanor was dismissive, hostile, and shockingly unprofessional. Somehow in the heart of executive hotel Boca Raton, this hovel of a hotel exists - and has the audacity to charge competitive rates to the brilliant hotel surrounding it. Once you get bast the lobby, the hotel is filthy, none of the gates lock, my door key took about 5 tries to work and there was litter all around the hallways. But the breakfast, which was $16, was even worse. It was abysmal! The NHL can use the sausage for practice pucks, I didn’t even recognize the French toast strips - I thought they were some form of bacon. It was SO bad, I didn’t bother going back the 2nd morning even though I’d prepaid. The room was fine, I’ll give it that.
The nasty gate lock that never engaged properly.

Room was standard at best with ample space to move about. Shower had great pressure and water was hot. The front desk staff was responsive and courteous. The breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired, but not worth $10PP. I would consider booking again because of location and price.

When we got to the hotel, there were no rooms available. So unfortunately, we were not able to stay at the hotel because apparently they don’t understand what a reservation is. They can take reservations, but they can’t reserve reserve. So we were forced to spend one night in a car and then find a different location. To say that I’m upset would be not nearly enough information. I’m very upset with the process. I’m not happy with your website or that hotel but especially the hotel. That’s yours.

There was a dead roach in my room. For three days I didn’t get room cleaning even once. The entire hotel has no water fountains anywhere, even the gym water fountain is broken. You can’t even get basic cutlery to eat your food in this terrible piece of hotel
