Long weekend in Boca

Cons: The older building is old. The price on the rooms there can't be justified.
Location: Boca Raton has some great restaurants away from the hotel, definitely worth checking out!
We booked a winter vacation package through Travelocity, which is how we discovered Boca Raton Resort. The hotel itself was a bit intimidating upon arrival, if you do not currently own a Ferrari or Bentley, as these are the types of cars valet parked all along the front of the hotel. That being said, however, the staff and guests could not have been more friendly and down to earth over our entire visit. Our stay began on a rocky start as our room was set in a noisy spot right near the valet parking area. The room was in the original building, which, for the price, I have to say I would not recommend. We were quickly moved to a new room, no questions asked. Our second room had issues with the air conditioning vents and also the smoke detector (also in the original part of the resort) and when we spoke up about it, we were moved to a newer room in the tower - which, if you plan to stay, we highly recommend. This part of the hotel has a newer and fresher feeling, the room was spectacular and you have a view of the water. Our favorite part of this resort was that, to get to the beach club (where the pools and beach are), you take a small boat/water taxi - it was so much fun. The beach club was awesome, pools well maintained, great music, waitstaff, fresh towels - a highlight of why to stay at this resort. We did the breakfast buffet which was also great. Overall we loved our stay and would love to come back. The perfect weather in Boca didn't hurt either!

Wonderful place to stay with a large group.

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy
The hotel was elegant and comfortable. The restuarants were plentiful and excellent. We enjoyed the many different options of food available and the hotel had so many areas to just sit and relax. The pools were lovely and the staff was accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the wonderful complimentary key lime ade in the lobby. My only complaint would be how cold the hotel was kept in the common areas.

This hotel was quiet even though there were families staying there.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast, expensive buffet
The hotel is very peaceful and quiet. There are many areas to walk if you have a child or just enjoy walking. Being on the water is also an added plus, watching the boats come and go.

A jewel

My wife and I stayed here for a few days in February and we enjoyed our stay. We were in the original part of the resort, so the room was not the most modern, but it was comfortable and clean. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the resort itself, including the restaurant and lounges, should not be missed if you are staying in the Boca Raton area. I thought that this resort was a jewel.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
I spent a weekend at this hotel just to get away eventhough it was only 10 miles from my home. It felt like it was further away and spent a verty relaxing weekend. Hotel was quiet for a labor day weekend but that was OK with me. I stayed in the bungalos section which was close to the beach and close to Misner Park where there are many restaurants in walking distance.

Construction noise

Cons: Noisy
the lobby was under construction, and the noice revirberated throughout the entire hotel, which would have been nice to know when i made the reservation. they started work after 8:00 am, but it was still less than pleasant. The parking was an additional $20, but i suppose that's what you get in Bethesda. The valet parking staff was not exactly on top of things, but the rest of the staff was fine.

Business Conference

First time here. I felt like royalty. The decor was magnificent food outstanding I loved the sushi bar but there were plenty of choices. The conference lasted 4 days and I chose to stay a couple extra days. I am a former corporate trainer in the hospitality business. So I do tend to be a bit fussy about the level of service I expect for the amount of money I spend. There were absolutely no complaints here. From the minute I arrived until the very last minute I left every whim I had was met with cheerful staff presence informative shuttle drivers and the accommodations definately 5 star. I was amazed at the ammenities provided as I was booked into a one bedroom bungalow suite. The large kitchen with immaculate appliances and breakfast table was a joy for entertaining a few colleges and the Dining area with a huge table was great to set out some of the presentation materials. For just relaxing the living room boasted a wonderful sectional coffee table and flat screen TV. And in the same area was ample space to get some work done on the complimentary wifi computer desk with plenty of outlets to work with. My favorite space was a small balcony with seating for 2 with table. Having my morning coffee with a lovely view of the golf course or a glass of wine in the evening under the stars and a full moon. Thought I was in heaven. I sure hope the company decides to come back next year and even if they dont I know I will. If you are looking a place to impress or a place to impress yourself and be pampered this is the place you should be!

Great resort but bring your wallet...and your neighbor's too

The facility is outstanding but you pay for EVERYTHING. The golf course is solidly mediocre and they charge * per person with no discount for my 17yr old and 14 yr old. We stayed in the two bedroom bungalows and they were $* night. I thought that was fair. The problem is that you really cant do anything at the resort without paying through the nose. Beach rentals were ridiculous. You want an umbrella....$25, a boogie board...$12/hr. Burgers and fries for 5 people...$150. They need to have a pay one price plan. It would be less painful. I will say that the service was impeccable and the restaurants were outstanding.
