Winíka Alterra is a small, family owned hotel and resort. The property consists of eleven private cabins. They’re very well maintained and with all the amenities. The staff is very helpful, accommodating, and detailed oriented. All the meals were delicious, fresh, and locally sourced-made from ingredients found at the hotel’s on site farm. (They even make their own chocolate which is used in the duck mole, desserts, or served hot). The beds and bedding are very comfortable, The quiet, jungle environment makes for a restful stay. Our only suggestion would be to invest in entertainment options during rainy days, such as a ping pong table, card games, or family friendly board games.

Great hotel for an adventurous guest. This hotel is out in the hillside. There are no TVs in the room. You are somewhat Limited to staying there to eat as it's not very convenient to be traveling back-and-forth between the hotel and the main city. The people are very nice and the food is great although the service at the restaurant is little bit slow. The people are very nice and the food is great although the service at the restaurant is little bit slow. The one downside was that was a lot of ants that came into the room. The staff was helpful but this impacted our stay.
