This hotel was completely gutted. Outside wrapped in plastic, inside bare with drywall and paint everywhere. We rode up the elevator and the upstairs was even worse. There was crap everywhere, trash, and old furniture sitting out and again completely gutted. Got into our room and in the bathroom there was an old receipt stuck to the wall. stains all over the bed. The lamps were covered in some disgusting film with splatters all over them. I didn’t even sit on the bed. We grabbed our things and left. luckily about 15 minutes away was an open hotel that blew that S-Hole out of the water. 0/10 recommend.

First off, I’m not one to usually complain about things but this was ridiculous. We weren’t told of the major rentovations going on at the time so we were completely surprised weren’t we arrived 9/21/25. A man named Buford was our saving grace during our week long stay, he got us what we needed when we needed it including ice because there was NO ice machine present. See, we’ve stayed there many times through the years but this time was aweful to say the least. The contractor over the renovation was cool and all but they started work at 0730 and my girl really hated that with loud noise, banging, etc. I just feel we should’ve been warned of the work going on when we spoke to the front desk the times we did in the weeks before our arrival. Anyway, it’s gonna take a year for the renovations to be complete. To whom it may concern Buford needs a raise and I’m serious cause he’s a good man who cares about the room occupants, he went over & beyond to help our stay be somewhat ok. Thank you, Buford !!!!!

This Super 8 is under construction. The lobby was a bit messy and the crew started working again at 8am. And the ice machine is out. That being said, the staff was friendly and check in was very smooth. The rooms felt clean enough and the pillow were plenty fluffy. I zonked out and slept well past breakfast.

Had a bad smell not very handicapped accessible for wheelchair i'm handicap the bathroom was not good at all I fail in the bathroom where where the floor was wet and put a big not in my head accomodations was not good at all killed a small roach in the bathroom I don't think I will be staying anymore

Disgusting and unsanitary

Remodeling and should be shut down. Someone frying pork chops in their room 2 doors down from us. The smell was consistent of mold and mildew. The shower had evident of pure dirt. The commode would not flush, we went to front desk and they had the nerve to hand me a plunger, the GUEST! The water had a foul smell so bad that we had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. There were hair on the sheets. We were disgusted and can not wait to sanitize everything we had in that filth.

The place is under construction and might benefit from closing until it is done. Does not feel safe. My deadbolt didn’t work. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor that lifted when you walk on them because they were sticky? Everything stained from hard water. Carpet was disgusting and sticky. Burn holes in everything! And the smell…. When I opened the door I gagged. It smelled like cigarettes but I’m used to that, there was something rancid mixed in. They changed the room I reserved before I got there from a double to a single with a couch. My guess is someone else went to the room and complained and got switched (I completely understand) but it left me and my kids to deal with it. And I was still charged the same. We were there for a total of 7 hours, but the smell stuck to us for the whole day. Not good. Go somewhere else. I tried but it was too late. The only good thing I can say is there wasn’t any bugs in that room, I checked thoroughly.

The bed was rock hard. The room and hotel itself were run down and not very clean. It was very noisy at night. People sitting out in the parking lot of the hotel drinking and playing music most of the night. Neighboring rooms were smoking pot and stinking up our room. The staff was nice during our interactions but would not stay there again. It did appear they were remodeling the other half of the hotel so maybe they are working to improve it.

Prestonsburg I expect better out of you !!

Step out of the elevator on the 2nd floor the aroma of hot stagnant dog urine will take your breath away! Open the door into room 218 step in and the carpet was exceptionally gross, as was the tile floor in the bathroom as well as sticky. the Shower curtain was loose from the wall, guess the 4 inch deck screws ran directly into the drywall didn't do the trick, I mean who need studs. Between the night stand and the bed was a fine collection of filth and stench. The sheets did appear clean, but by this time I was already itching with the warm feeling "gross and ick" so it's not like a slept... 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
