I stayed at this hotel 2 different times during my holiday and both times the rooms were clean and comfortable, Our second stay was not booked correctly by expedia, but they were kind enough to give us a roomand refund the money for the stay on the wrong date expedia booked.

Very tired needing a make over.

Whilst the place was clean, it urgently needs a make over and the rooms are very dated. We were on the Junior suite (401) next to the drive way and swimming pool, and you could hear people talking plus noise from vehicles driving into the hotel. Staff were very friendly, great location but very much in the 80’s.

Overall, okay. Man behind desk was extremely unhelpful. We had no wifi. I asked over 5 hour period nothing was done. Finally a trickle came through late at night-very slowly. Additionally, there were two of us but gave us 1 free beverage, although part of our membership.

They were doing renovations but never advised us on checkin. They also gave us a drinks voucher but were unable to use it because the bar was closed. The evening lady offered to give us a drink that we could take back to our room, but the options were very limited, so was a wasted perk. But the location of the property was good for us.

This hotel is excellent. We usually have a mini suite which is spacious and has great amenities. The cleanliness of the room is usually excellent but a little disappointed this time with the vacuuming. There were hairs and lolly papers in the lounge area that had been missed from the previous occupants.

Three night stay in paihia

This is a lovely hotel right in the beach front. Unfortunately there were really bad storms prior to or arrival and the waves had come over the sea wall into the pool and flooded the basement. This resulted in the pool being closed for our three night stay. This out of anyone’s control but was a little disappointing as I booked the hotel for the pool area to chill out at.The room was very well presented with two twin beds. There is a restaurant on site and a gym. Also very short 3 min walk to restaurants and shops and all the day trips at the pier.

Another great stay.

Great for a night away. We have stayed in a couple of hotels in Paihia, but always come back to the Kingsgate Hotel. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king bed room which has a small seating area with a table and a couch. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Would recommend to couples or family’s.
