This place is a great place to stay. The only complaint I have is they need to do a little bit more maintenance around the building as far as clearing cobwebs and nests of wasps. It would also be great if they would have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms other than that, we will continue to visit this place every time we go to Kentucky lake area

We arrived when it was dark so we didn't get to explore. But it's quiet, the birds are singing, easy for walking and bikeing and we're on the lake. The employee that checked us in was super helpful with our questions about the area.

The reception area was nice and clean. The room we stayed in was clean, but a bit dated. There was not a microwave or refrigerator, so we were unable to keep leftovers from eating out or heat anything. (I did not check the listing to see if those were included amenities. I will check that next time!) We were on the lake side, that had several stairs to reach the room. If you parked in the top parking lot, there was about 15 stairs down to reach the room. If you parked in the lower parking lot, there were a lot more stairs to reach the room. Carrying heavy luggage back and forth was a bit of a task. It’s a good thing we are able bodied, if you have mobility issues, the lower rooms would be difficult to get to. The railing going up and down the steps should be wiped down more frequently. The railing going down towards our room was covered in bird poop. The parking lot is small and cramped, and you may have to park pretty far from your room. Although check in time is 4, we called around 2 to see if early check in was allowed. The lady that answered the phone said we could check in at 3. We arrived shortly after 3, and was told we could not check in. As we were leaving the check in desk, another couple stopped us and said they were told 3 as well. Would I stay here again? Maybe. I would certainly plan to have an upper level room, and a good cooler. (We did not use any of the other amenities, since we were out at the lake most of the time.)

Rooms need to be deep cleaned. Dead wasp on carpet, rust, dirty grout. Light bulb burnt out. Wasp nests above many room doors to the outside. Grounds need weed wacked. Patio furniture needs hosed off. But on a brighter note, the lobby has an amazing view as do the grounds and the breakfast buffet had an abundant variety and was reasonably priced and delicious!

Beatiful setting by the lake, spacious and clean room, comfortable beds. We did miss a refrigerator and built on a hillside so steps involved. We just stayed a night on our way through and were used to staying in highway chain hotels. This is an oasis after some places we've stayed. Will definitely stay again during our travels.
