About this property
Quintessential Berkshire Escape - Artist Home, Tucked Away in Nature
Welcome to your Berkshires escape.
Tucked among tall trees and lush gardens, this artist-inspired retreat blends cozy comfort and a touch of storybook charm. Handmade details — pottery mugs and rustic décor - reflect the creative soul of the Berkshires. The space is a sanctuary inviting you to slow down.
Perfect for couples' adventures, families craving connection, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful place to rest, work, or dream — experience the Berkshires in an authentic, soulful way.
The space
The shared common room welcomes you with a warm living space, dining corner, and minimalist kitchenette — perfect for morning coffee or light meals. In the evenings, step outside to string lights glowing over Berkshire chairs and the Solo Stove crackling as you sip wine, share stories, and listen to the chorus of crickets and frogs. Indoors, natural textiles, a 96" projector, and the gentle glow of an electric woodstove create an inviting atmosphere for cozy nights in.
Each generously sized bedroom tells its own tale: the Sailor's Room, inspired by seaside adventure, and the Queen's Room, rich with bold elegance and featuring a private en-suite bath. There's even a whispered legend of the Sailor and the Queen... Come discover it for yourself.

The Queen’s room offers a large en suite bathroom, and there is a kitchenette equipped with hotel-style amenities for light food prep.
The home is on private country well water, naturally rich in healthy minerals — a small but meaningful connection to the land and its natural rhythms.
The electric woodstove offers easy, one-button ambiance, and a table for four is perfect for cards, meals, or planning your Berkshire adventures. Step out onto the large front porch to enjoy the night air, relax with a book, or unwind after a day of exploring.

Other things to note
The Legend of the Sailor & the Queen
Long ago, so the story goes, a wandering sailor came inland to the Berkshires, trading the open sea for wooded hills and glittering lakes. He carried with him tales of distant shores, stars that guided him across the ocean, and treasures tucked away in the folds of his maps.
In Otis, he met the Queen — not a monarch in a crown, but a woman of rare grace who reigned over her own small kingdom of gardens, trees, and the gentle art of making. She offered him rest by her fire, a cup in a handmade vessel, and laughter that stilled the restless tide inside him.
The two left whispers of their story scattered here: a star marked on a map, a token tucked among the shelves, a symbol hidden in the garden. Those who stay in the Sailor's Room and the Queen's Room are invited to follow their trail — a gentle scavenger hunt — to discover the moments where their paths entwined.
Some say if you find all the clues, you'll understand why the sailor stayed, and how the queen's laughter still echoes through the woods.
