Great & wonderful experience

It was a great experience. Location was perfect, just across the street from the train station. Arriving early, they stored our bags until our room was ready. We had an issue with lights and they came up immediately to check and were very nice and polite even though it was what we did not do that caused the problem. They worked the front desk efficiently and with a smile. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Theres construction in front so around 7h30 am you have a natural wakeup alarm. The bed are ultra comfy and the room is dark and quiet otherwise. Great satff, walkable location!

Good location by train station and to local metro. Easy check in/out on tablet, comfortable beds. Definitely small rooms but that’s how it’s advertised. However, of all the hotels we’ve stayed at in this region, the towels are so small and thin. If you need more or to exchange, there is a charge.

Had a great stay here as usual. The Hotels.com webiste decided to generate an email telling me my booking was about to be cancelled due to incorrect payment details - a quick call to the hotel sorted this out, as there was no payment issue in the first place. Yes, the hotel is basic compared to others maybe, but it is always clean, centrally located, great, friendly and helpful staff and is a joy to visit. The beds are comfortable and the showers powerful - for those who have not travelled in Norway before - the single duvets are standard, no matter the size of the bed.

Very close to the bus and trains, easy access to shopping and restaurants. Very quiet street considering being so close to the train station and shopping, etc. All staff were delightful and very helpful and Amina was excellent! She went above and beyond to help us figure out how to get public transportation to a restaurant and is a very charming and delightful!

Not a 3 Star Hotel

Great location, helpful staff and clean enough. But this should not be a three star hotel on hotels.com. This is very much a bargain basement hotel. One scrawny bath towel, hand towel and pillow per guest (not even a bath mat). Housekeeping is every 4 days. Signs in the elevator indicate you would have to pay more for extra towels and bedding. The bathroom has two hooks and nowhere to put your stuff, no vanity no drawers or shelves. No “chain” locks feels Less than safe. They have a few snacks and coffee bar, no restaurant, and you have to go to another hotel for a gym. When I checked in a room was available and I had to pay an extra.~20€ to access the room early. Norway is my 43rd country and I’ve never experienced a charge to get into a room early-likely part of the nickel and diming because this is more like a two star hotel.

3.5 stars. Pros: Great location and staff. Cons: almost nothing to enhance room experience. Bare-bones furnishings, laminate flooring. Odd lighting. Bath: hand/hair wash, no lotion. Strange shower enclosure guarantees wet floor; no bathmat, so must use hand towel. No phone. Room on back side of hotel; quieter, but cement wall view. Kind of grim.

5 minutes from the central station and to many sights. A very warm welcome from all staff encountered, very helpful. Compact room but all facilities required for 3 night stay. Spotless linen, towels and room. Piping hot water, hairdryer and heating control. We would recommend.
