Doors were wrapped and did not lock and we had to put furniture in front of doors to keep wind from opening them. Cookware looked unsafe to use. Stairs were narrow and there was a bed in the master bedroom close…. Weird.

The views are spectacular. The house is an impressive property. The kitchen, master bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic. There were several minor repairs needed but nothing that was troublesome or problematic (I’m very particular). While the property is pet friendly, it doesn’t have any grassed area for them to use. We would’ve liked for the exterior to be better groomed around the house (needed a lot of weedeating done).

Great Lakeview
We had a group of 19 people for a family get together. The house had plenty of beds and space for us all. Gorgeous view of the lake. Any questions we had were answered and taken care of promptly.

Amazing views, adequate house
The scenic views of the main channel of the lake are amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the deck(s) and watching the sunrises/sunsets. The house has a great layout for our gathering of family and friends. The bunk rooms provided great options for the many kids. The primary and guest rooms were nice with good views. Lowest level game room made for a nice getaway for the teenagers. Appreciated the laundry facilities. Overall the home is tired in decoration and well worn - furniture, kitchen cabinets, and curtains. (One of the patio chairs was completely broken, and interior chairs were loose.) We were disappointed that it lacked some basic hosting items (grilling utensils, propane for both grill and fire pit, salt/pepper/spices, and the gourmet coffee bar the listing mentioned). That said, the hosting agency did respond within a day to our requests when we raised concern. Overall the house felt quaint, similar to what you find if you were going to the weathered home of a beloved family member - a place full of memories of a life once vibrant and prosperous. We would recommend staying here (and would book it again for ourselves). Check in was a little confusing as we received the welcome booklet which told us our code would be one set of numbers, only to see a second welcome email with another set of codes. We also were surprised to have house cleaner arrive 15 min after we checked in and stay approx 30 extra minutes to finish. Still, a good place for making memories!
