It's an absolutely bicycle-friendly and I really do highly recommend it to all cycling enthusiasts who would like to ride the Shimanami Kaido starting from Onomochi side.

Was very modern, clean, spacious and the staff were very friendly! It was a great place to stay before and after biking the Shimanami Kaido. We loved the overall style and they even put our luggage in our room prior to arrival! Coin laundry on site was also nice. Wonderful location, right on the water. :)

This was my 4th times staying here, so I obviously appreciate the hotel and the staff. It can sometimes be very expensive, but during the off season prices seem to come down some. The hotel and restaurant and shopping area are lovely, and well-designed in this converted water-side warehouse. They are absolutely accommodating to cyclists.

As a bit of a germaphobe and a fan of privacy, I was unsure about staying at a hostel since that would mean sharing a bathroom and not having our own wall or door. This hostel however exceeded all my expectations and dispelled my worries. It's squeeky clean, well organized, in a beautiful and convenient location just off the Shimanami Kaido bike path. We got the half board and the dinner was one of the standout meals of our entire trip.

Comfortable and friendly hotel

Our room, located on the second floor, was very comfortable and quiet. The staff at reception were really helpful and I appreciate the alternative cycling itinerary that was provided (right down to the ferry times and cost of the ferry rides!) after we missed the ferry to Imabari. I would suggest stronger lighting in the room as it can get a little dark as well as hooks to hang up our towels.

Hotel Cycle is Epic!

Hotel cycle was amazing! We were completely shocked at how this warehouse has turned into such a posh little place! We will definitely go back. This hotel is a brilliant marketing plan, is so inviting, and the best experience we have had in Japan! The staff were amazing and we cannot wait to go back!

This was my second visit to Hotel Cycle as I stayed here a year ago. Hotel is so good on so many levels, from great service, to breakfast, cleanliness and location. Can’t sit to return.

Awesome stay for bike tour

Amazing breakfast and dinner options. Clean, contemporary rooms. Great bathrooms. Hotel is quiet and peaceful at night. Location is safe and very walkable to Onomichi station and other key areas of Onomichi.

Great location, superb food, beautiful interiors

The onsite bakery is amazing and the food in the restaurant is also superb. The interiors are done out in dark walls, concrete and dark wood which I loved. The overall atmosphere in the whole place is great, with outdoor seating as well looking out over the bay. Highly recommended!
