Deceptive cost

Deeply hidden in the fees area was $100 deposit. It’s immediately taken out and supposedly returned the following day however, a credit card company does not immediately take it off.

I have bad knees which were acting up, hotel was full so no option but SECOND floor and no elevator. No breakfast. Only saving grace, the call about having left some belongings behind.

Check-in was quick and easy. The room was fine (although being set to cool to 61 degrees was a bit much; I had to heat it a little before going to bed). Breakfast was a bit skimpy - coffee, juice, a granola bar, and a tropical fruit cup. I noticed a toaster there but nothing to use it for.

I've stayed in cleaner military barracks than this hotel. Maybe that's not a good example because they made us clean the hell out of those barracks. My tub has black mold all around the bottom of the surround and someone else's hair on the ledge of the tub. The carpet is old and needs to be replaced. The smoke detector went off in the middle of the night,but only just barely because it was over 20 years old and yellowed. When I tried to take it off because the button would not shut it up,it was sticky and dirty. The bedding seemed clean enough but I'm glad I didn't have a black light because I'm sure I'd see some things. The only ray of sunshine was the staff. They were all super friendly and are probably doing their best with a building that needs a major overhaul. I would not stay here again, learned my lesson for the last time that you get what you pay for.

Miserable sleep

Allergies were triggered due to carpet, dust mites and air quality. I had trouble sleeping because I couldn’t breathe well through my nose. Next again!

The room was large, however it is very outdated with no routine maintenance. The tub was dirty and the toilet base had urine streaks all down the front. The flooring was all laminate and cold. The included breakfast was warm pods of OT, granola bar and a tropical fruit cup, not impressed.
