Welcome to Short Stays on Market, your unit is part of a collection of six uniquely designed one-bedroom apartments inside the historic Lilliston Building in downtown Onancock, Virginia. Each apartment offers a comfortable layout with a private king bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa, two TVs (one in the living room and one in the bedroom) equipped with Roku and streaming capabilities, high-speed Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances, a Keurig coffee maker, and an in-unit washer/dryer combo. The Glick was a find! This spacious, nicely decorated one bedroom apartment is in the center of town and has all you need for two people. The king bed and sheets were comfortable, the place was spotless, there were plenty of towels and the water pressure was great in the shower. The kitchen is large with a Keurig coffee maker, and stocked with plates and cooking utensils. And there is a washer/dryer (one unit) in that space, which we used one time and worked great.We were very comfortable, and while there had to do some work and the wifi is solid. The dining room table made for a great place to work with comfortable chairs. Large windows, let light in, the exposed brick walls kept the history feel, while decor was chic. Although we were downtown it was so quiet. A great coffee shop, bakery and several restaurants are within walking distance.The apartments are up a flight of stairs for those with mobility concerns. Hallway lights are motion activated which was great. The hosts were attentive and checked in to see if all was as expected. Given the opportunity, I would most definitely stay here again.

My grandson and I stayed in The Glick for six nights so that he could attend kayak camp just a few blocks away at the harbor (which we also highly recommend). The apartment looked nice online, but it was even better than it appeared.First, it was very spacious. It has a full kitchen, which not all rental apartments have. There was plenty of counter space and having a full sized fridge, stove, and washer/dryer was nice for a long stay. The place looked pretty new and it was spotless. I also liked that they left and a small vacuum in the closet. Most rentals only leave an broom and dustpan, which they also had, but it's nice to be able to vacuum up crumbs after my grandson hits the bakery for cookies!The location is fantastic. We didn't get in the car the whole week. There are several little cafes, a marvelous bakery, and four full serve restaurants (I'm partial to The Blarney Stone and Bread and Butter) within a couple of blocks. If you want to walk a little farther, but still within the town limits, there is another restaurant that has Asian fusion cuisine (good shushi) and a cute little ice cream shop that dishes out Hershey's. The communication with Cape Charles Vacation Rentals was exemplary. They seem to have customer agents on duty, if not around the clock, then pretty darn close. I messaged with questions several times, and they responded quickly each time. Everyone was courteous and super helpful. We will definitely be back next summer.

Our weekend stay at The Glick was perfect!! The apartment was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, just like the pictures show. We really appreciated the Keurig coffee machine and comfy bed. All instructions for check in and check out were very clear and simple. We were within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The town of Onancock is so peaceful and charming. The sunsets at the Wharf are beautiful. This is a wonderful location to stay while visiting on the Eastern Shore
