The town house Casa Renata is located in a quiet side street of Olhão, 500m from the peer where guests can catch the boat to the unique islands of Culatra, Farol and/or Armona. This typical town house is only 500m from the city center and the local fish/fruit and Veg market. The house comprises 80 square meters of living space, a shady courtyard and a large roof terrace. It is a historic town house, built in 1918, decorated with original vaulted ceilings and floor tiles, which ensure good climatic conditions in the house. All rooms of the house are on the ground floor, therefore age-appropriate. Casa Renata can accommodate up to 4 guests. The house consists of a living room, 2 bedrooms with air conditioning, a kitchen (with access to the courtyard) and a large bathroom (bathtub and bidet). The shady courtyard with its dining area and lounge furniture create a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Here you can also use the outdoor shower after a enjoyable day at the beach. On the roof terrace you have a view of the city and privacy. The terrace consists of a sun corner, with umbrella and loungers, as well as a weatherproof pavilion and a barbecue area.
About Olhão: Olhão is a city with around 15,000 inhabitants, which is located in the south on the Sandy-algarve. Olhão is about 15 km from Faro Airport, so a car is not absolutely necessary. A relatively cheap option is the taxi services, which takes you to Olhão for around 25 euros. The city offers many shops, bars and restaurants. At the harbor, 10 minutes from the house, there are the market halls built by Gustav Eifel. There is freshly caught fish as well as meat and rich fruit and vegetable offerings every day. In addition to the market halls, the waterfront leads to the ferry pier, from which you can get to the bathing islands. Gently sloping empty sandy beaches also offer children the opportunity to swim and enjoy thoroughly. One advantage of the islands is that they are accessible from both sides, so you can decide whether you want to go swimming towards the Atlantic (rougher waters) or towards Ria Formosa (shallow and calm waters).
Municipal Tourist Tax – CITY TAX - is 2 euros between 1st April and 31st October and one euro between 1st November and 31st March and will be charged for a maximum of five (5) consecutive nights to all guests aged 16 and over. This fee is payable on the day of arrival, when guests receive their keys at check-in.
