Delightful Beppu Onsen experience

Bettei Haruki is unique having only 6 spacious Japanese rooms. We loved their two gorgeous Onsen rooms which were perfect in every detail - will never forget these onsens and will miss them dearly. We had their omasake dinner menu which was served with much care. Well done Bettei Haruki management.

We had such an amazing stay at Bettei Haruki! The girl who served us was so attentive and showed us such warm welcome. Kaiseki meal was unforgettably delicious and the room was so comfortable. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

Great place to stay and relax

Yuki-San was great in helping and explaining, always with a smile. Great host and great experience overall. Free drinks in the fridge and Nespresso coffee much appreciated. Dinner and breakfast exquisitely served and very delicious.

This hotel is overall good, but there is no shuttle service, therefore a taxi would be needed. There are not many stores nearby, but hotel staff are very nice and very patient with guests requests. The only one thing we think this hotel can improve is that the hotel is kind old. Need renovation if it can be done.

Amazing Ryokan with private onsen, very cozi and the kaiseki meal was delicious, very attentive staff and the place has a calm, relaxing environment. Location is great and close ( 10 min walk) to major tourist attractions in the city

Beautiful Hot Water River Walk Alongside Onsen

Room 3.0, Onsen 2.75, Oyu 3.9, Scene 4.0, Food Excellent 4.75 Best For Locals & Romantic Rendezvous. Not ideal as a long distance travel destination as was our case. 5.00 Fabulous Harukigawa River Walk (Of naturally flowing Oyu = hot springs water) next to Ryokan. Guests almost always in room for all activities ...no public areas of note within Ryokan.
