We stayed here for a night, and shima grant hotel and the various hot springs in the vicinity clearly went beyond our expectations. Yes, the hotel is from the showa era and so it is a bit dated. But the facility is well taken care of, and the staff personnel is simply great. They were always there to help us, greet us, and answer questions. We bought a 540-yen "hot spring passport" that allowed us to visit the bathtubs in Tamura Ryokan that is also owned by the same company. The buffet dinner and breakfast were also very good. Again, if you keep in mind that the hotel is a bit dated and hence you are paying quite reasonable price for a night, this is a great "onsen" hotel/ryokan in the gream Shima Hot Spring.
