great location, but...

The location was excellent, and we were warned that the place was under construction. However we were not prepared for the stairs. I am 85 and although I am still very spry, climbing the narrow tread stairs was scary. If I had not had help I could have never managed to carry my suitcase up 2 narrow flights of stairs.

The home did not appear as advertised in the photos. It was under construction, had lumber ion the floor in the dining room, had unfinished floors and felt more like a place one would camp in rather than stay as a home/hotel away from home. We were notified only about a week ahead of our stay that one of the advertised bathrooms would not be available. We said we agreed to this because with such short notice there were no other accommodations in Oberammergau during the Passion Play. We were coming from the USA and after we were already in Europe, told we needed to have brought sheets/towels with us or would be charged another $50 Euro. That seemed ridiculous since the house was already very, very rustic and missing a bathroom with a shower. Also, we have friends who live in Oberammergau and rent their homes, unfortunately theirs were already booked, but they said that bringing sheets and towels from the USA is not a custom. I was ashamed to have family stay there and would never recommend it to anyone unless it is completely remodeled and stocked appropriately for guests arriving from other countries.

Great home to rent in Oberammergau

Britta and her husband were super easy to work with and accessible whenever needed. They even helped with dinner reservations that turned out great. Their rental home is centrally located, impeccably clean and fully stocked.

Beautiful, quaint home

Incredible location and charming, beautiful house in Oberammergau - ten minute walk from the Passion Play and downtown! Our group of 7 had a lovey stay and enjoyed the beautiful garden and views. Please note if you are traveling internationally that you need to bring your own towels and pillow cases.

Lovely, quirky Bavarian house

Location was excellent. The house sits right next to a walking path that leads into the main square and is also a short walk from the best cake in the world (as recommended by the property owner). We loved the house, but be aware it is an old farmhouse and it’s stairs are steep and it’s floors are uneven. It appears you also need your own pillow cases and towels. This may be common to the area, but this was our first trip to Europe 😁.

Sehr nettes großes Haus mit Charme

Alles sehr gut , groß und schöne Lage, gute Ausstattung, viele hübsche Einrichtungsdetails. Nur der Geschirrspüler tuts manchmal nicht so ganz, vielleicht könnte man auch die Matratze im oberen Doppelbett austauschen, sie ist ziemlich durchgelegen.

Rundum gelungener Urlaub

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, Haus bietet eine Vielfalt an schön hergerichteten Zimmern. Manche Ecken waren oft schwer zu heizen, aber besonders die beiden Bäder bestechen sehr durch ihren einmal sehr modernen und einmal auf altertümlich getrimmten Charme! Die Lage des Hauses ist mit der Nähe zur Innenstadt optimal.

Prachtige plek in centrum van mooi dorp

Wat een heerlijke locatie nabij de skigebieden, in een prachtig dorp in Beieren met veel traditioneel beschilderde huizen. Het gezellige vakantiehuis is delicaat, her en der wat schuin en krakend, en moet voorzichtig behandeld worden. De badkamer van de begane grond is onlangs gerenoveerd en ziet er prachtig uit. Heerlijke douche. De bedden zijn wat klein en hard en er is naast de eettafel in de woonkamer geen plek om met z'n allen te zitten. De auto kan niet bij het huis blijven staan, maar wel een straat verderop. Wij hebben desondanks van het verblijf genoten.

Einfacher unkonventioneller Urlaub

Das Haus ist eigentlich schön, leider ist es noch lange nicht fertig, Nach 3 Tagen wurde es einigermaßen warm( war 2 Wochen ausgekühlt), bei Minusgraden kann ich mir nicht vorstellen daß es über 17/18 Grad wird. Es gibt keine Fernseher, keine Schränke und sehr schmale steile Treppen. Parkplatz Situation ist auch schwierig wenn man viel mit hat. Alles in allem war es Okay wenn man einfachen Urlaub ohne Luxus haben möchte.

Altes uriges Haus

Es ist ein wirklich nettes altes Haus in schöner Lage, einziger Nachteil: es ist für Selbstversorger nicht wirklich geeignet, Waschmaschine und Ofen funktionieren nicht und nur zwei der vier Herdplatten (Gas) funktionieren. Die Spüle in der Küche ist nur mit Verrenkungen nutzbar, da der Herd davor steht. Alles nicht wirklich praktisch. Es gibt aber im Flur noch eine Spüle, die man zur Not nutzen kann. Im Flur gibt es auch einen Geschirrspüler. Ob man den nicht auch in der Küche unterbringen könnte? Es wirkt halt alles unfertig, nur das Bad im Erdgeschoss ist renoviert und wirklich schick. Auf jeden Fall hat das ganze Charme.

Schönes, altes Haus in perfekter Lage

Die Lage des Hauses in Oberammergau ist ideal für einen Urlaub im Alpenvorland. Das Haus ist hübsch und gut restauriert, die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und die Nachbarn sind hilfsbereit. Drei kleine Punkte sind noch verbesserbar, sind aber so weit ich weiß sowieso in Arbeit: eine funktionierende Waschmaschine wäre für Familien wichtig. Für verregnete Abende wäre ein Fernseher schön (auch wenn man den meistens nicht brauchen wird) und das Internet dürfte schneller sein. Ansonsten ein perfektes Urlaubshaus mit sehr gutem Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert und eingerichtet. Wir wurden herlich empfangen. Alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Und die Umgebung lässt vielseitige sportlich Aktivitäten zu. Alles in allem war es ein wunderschönes verlängertes Wochenende. Sehr zu empfehlen

Wundervoller Aufenthalt

Wir haben die Zeit in Oberammergau und dem Gaus sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der YogaRaum wurde von unseren Kids für diverse Spiele genutzt. Man ist auch sehr schnell ins Zentrum gelaufen. Gerne wieder.
