Fantastic location for this large 5 bedroom 3 bath home in the old Yaupon Beach area. Convenient to the Oak Island Pier, Oak Island Golf Course, the old bridge, and of course the beach. This home has a very open space in the family and dining areas. The upstairs has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 3 of the bedrooms lead out onto the upstairs deck, which overlooks the ocean. This spacious home has plenty of room for the entire family and your friends. With sleeping for 16, no one will have to be left at home. For those of you that cannot go unconnected during vacation, don't worry, as the home includes wireless internet. When you come in from a long day on the beach, a convenient outdoor shower awaits you so you can leave the sand outside. Take advantage of the first-level shaded porch so you can enjoy the ocean breeze as you sip on your favorite beverage. Meant to Be will leave a long-lasting impression on you so you will want to continue to stay another day.

AC upstairs wasn’t working and the portable ACs would go out because of the breaker. We also found a moldy pillow and a moldy slice of pizza in the laundry closet. Only reason that I give them a three star review is because they were able to switch our house for a much better house and we had a five star experience there.

Great Location, But House Needs TLC
This house is in a great location and has a fantastic layout. We loved walking to the pier every night and being close enough to the beach for snacks, naps, etc. Also, the bunk room was great for the kids.
My guess is that this home is new to the property managers, who were friendly and very responsive. Unfortunately the home seriously lacks basic necessities: dish towels, more than 1 wine glass, towel racks in the bathroom, sliding doors that close properly in the bedrooms, lamps, silverware for more than 8, etc. The value received for what was paid was a huge disappointment.
We also saw roaches in the kitchen daily. The property managers offered to send out exterminators (which was much appreciated), but we opted out of having the home sprayed with chemicals while full of kids. Sorry to say this, but I would not recommend this place due to the lack of necessities and attention needed.

Great house, excellent location, great neighbors, the only issue was getting the cart over the steps to the beach, would be nice if it had one of those mats there for folks with carts and wagons? But very pleasant stay. Will be back!

If the house matched the location…
Pro: LOCATION. The beach views and access to the ocean were perfect. The size and layout of the house was great. The kitchen was stocked with basic cooking and dining needs. Check-in and check-out was convenient.
Cons: the house is dated and not clean. Some things were hazards (slippery floors, broken door handles, pointy screws sticking out from cabinets), patio furniture needs upgrade, only two tvs (one did not work). Overall, we expected more for the price.
