Prefect Weekend Getaway

NRG Hiking Adventure

The house was centered perfectly with all the top places to visit in NRG- grocery store was close, along with breweries and all the necessities. Host was awesome- definitely recommend staying here. Hoping to bring adult kids back next year to go Whitewater rafting! We had a great time. Clean, roomy, fully stocked👍

Hiking and fun

We had a great time at this home - very close to hiking & sightseeing in new river gorge NPS(which we enjoyed) the house was clean and equipped with all of our needs - we ate at nearby restaurant (pies & pints)after long day hiking and got back early one evening and enjoyed our meal at house followed by s’mores over the fire - I would highly recommend

Great Stay- Fun Times

House was perfect for our stay. Very clean and well furnished. We had all we needed. The location was close to all we wanted to do. Stephanie is an excellent host. Easy to communicate with, prompt and pleasant. If you get the chance, I recommend staying here. Good neighborhood and Oak Hill is a friendly area with lots to do.

Highly recommend

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The location was very convenient to New River Gorge, and It was also close to a grocery store and restaurants. The house was clean and comfortable. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen seemed well equipped. They were generous with the household goods, such as soap, paper towels, etc. The house was tastefully decorated and the furniture and beds were comfortable. If I came back to the area I would stay here without hesitation.

Weekend with friends

Our stay was great at this house! Communication with the owner was fast and efficient. We had a small hiccup with a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms and the owner was fast and ordered a fan that was on our door step that evening! The house was very accommodating for our group of 6 adults, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner! The grill was an added bonus that we used! We would definitely stay here again.

Insect Infestation and Poor Communication

-There was a lack of communication with property manager (Stephanie). -There was a major insect infestation (kitchen, bedroom, and personal belongings) despite us cleaning and keeping the house tidy. We have photos and videos of the ant & spider infestation. We messaged the property manager the morning of the checkout because we had a packed schedule and wanted to maximize our stay. However, the property manager replied saying she was unaware of insects and implied if we told her sooner, she would have contacted maintenance. Shouldn’t Stephanie have informed us about the availability of maintenance prior to our arrival? -We then sent two additional follow-up messages along with more photos and videos and also asked for a partial refund but no reply. -We followed-up a third time stating we’ll escalate the complaint. Only then Stephanie replied with a long message, denying our request for partial refund. -We replied with a long message, having a clear timeline breakdown for further clarity. Stephanie hasn’t replied to this message yet…

Great location and clean.

The property was very clean and easy to access. The property is very conveniently located for site seeing and hiking the different areas in the New River Gorge Park. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. The outdoor area was great for relaxing outside and we used the grill for steaks one night. We would suggestion the owner put clocks on the bedside tables, one or 2 more towel hooks in the bathrooms and provide a toaster. There is a toaster oven but it did not seem to get the toast to brown up. I would highly recommend this property and would rent it again if we go back to the area.
