I stayed over Christmas, so it is difficult to comment as the pub had different opening hours. It was not open in the morning for breakfast, but had the advantage of being quieter in the evening. I would have liked more information about how to work the shower, etc. The room was comfortable and the radiators were working.

Room was nice and warm. Plenty of coffee and tea left out. Adequate for our needs. Had a drink in the pub before getting key which was very nice. Would stay again.

The staff were friendly, room was fine. Internet was intermittent. If you're precious about your car I wouldn't stay there. Lots of glasses being broken and noisy drunk youths in the car park

The room itself was adequate, basic bedroom set up with nice furniture. The heating did not work at this property and even though this was a known issue we were not informed about it. The shower was terrible, almost no water pressure, old and blocked shower head that didn't stay hung up and a shower door that didn't close and caused the bathroom to flood. Probably won't be coming back.

Description not reflecting (poor) experience
Room heating inoperative and room was cold on arrival; no explanation given. Bed uncomfortable and some litter found. Lack of adequate towels. Shower cubicle small and not utilising available space Bar staff were young and appeared inexperienced. Hotel located by a busy train line and noisy therefore Thai food, however, was very good. No suggestion of compensation for lack of heating until another guest complained stringently on departure when only then the offer of a refund was made although not as yet received
