We stayed here for one night to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary!! It was perfect - very clean, great service and they upgraded our room when we told them it was for our one year wedding anniversary. Fantastic location we really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The only downside that we had was the breakfast didn’t stay open until 10 like it was supposed to. They stopped serving folks 30 minutes before and the buffet style breakfast in the lounge had no hot food left (they were picking up all the containers and there was cereal/granola bars left - not even hot coffee was out 30 minutes before close!). We ended up going to the breakfast spot across the street and that was delicious though. Overall 5/5 stars because of the treatment we got from the front desk/cleanliness of everything/location.

The staff was nice. I was not happy, however, with the reservation/check in process. I was provided an email to select a check in time. I was arriving on a cruise ship around 9am. The email from the hotel gave me an option to select a check in time of 10 am. I selected that so I did not have to lug my belongings around and find something to do until check in. When I arrived I was told I can't check on until after noon at the earliest! Why offer that time and allow me to select it if we can't do that! I had to wait around for hours! They did offer to keep my luggage behind the counter, but I was tired and had to wait around for hours before I could check in!

Rude staff

The room was amazing and was clean. the only issue we had was the attitude from staff. We were forced to pay for the room twice upon check in and then was told that she made a mistake and that they would refund the money as soon as possible. No apology, nothing was done to compensate the mistake besides access to a room that had water and snacks. Other than that the stay was great and we had a good time.

Pumping Issue

My stay was great until there was a pumping issue at 11 pm on night one. Technician came in at that time to repair. We had an early start for a graduation and the pumping issue was back in the morning. We reported it before departure to graduation. Issue was resolved by night 2.

My experience at Waterside was surprisingly not all that. I'm kind of surprised because I place my employees here often but have never had to stay here myself until now. The elevator my first night smelled so horribly of piss and the rooms all had the "landlord special" quality, everything hanging off of the walls (toiletries holder in the shower, toilet paper holder and lights), the shower was gross and hadn't been deep cleaned or recalled in forever and there were sticky spots in miscellaneous spaces across the carpet. I also ended up on the elevator with a team member who was very unprofessional in their manner towards someone else. Add that it was soooo noisy. The rooms were not proofed at all. I heard every conversation from the hallway like they were in the room with me! My neighbors were rowdy with their music and tv's late into the night. I had to cal and complain. Not only will I likely not stay again, I likely won't put my employees there again either.
