This is an interesting hotel, almost a museum, in the historically significant walled town of Nördlingen. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is an excellent buffet with high quality breads, cheese, meats, boiled eggs, museli, fruits, and peppers stuffed with cream cheese.

Past it’s best. 😢

Faded glory, it just felt as though they’ve given up here. Talking to the manager and he said they had been hit badly by Covid. Shame as it could be a really interesting property but it needs a lot of tender loving care. Wouldn’t stay again. Sorry!

The Room itself was very nice and clean, nice big bathroom. The people were very nice and welcoming. Gave us a GREAT restaurant recommendation. One con is that there is no full time front desk, so had some issues with checking out. Also, said credit card machine wasn’t working so had to got get cash.

Depends on your priorities

Located in a historic town, in a historic building you are not going to find every modern feature. The room was clean, the bath modern, the breakfast was excellent. It appeared to be a one person operation. Only breakfast is available. WiFi was spotty, worked best on the entry hall of the hotel. Public event taking place directly in front of hotel, so access to parking was not possy.

To dages pitstop på vej til Italien. Skøn placering på byens torv. Dejlig by. Hotellet er typisk sydtysk omend noget slidt. Skøn atmosfære.

Sehr netter und freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption. Es gab erst Schwierigkeiten mit dem Zimmer, aber der nette Herr an der Rezeption hat alles ohne sich aus der Ruhe zu bringen lassen geregelt. Ich bedanke mich dafür. Gute Unterstellplätze für Fahrräder.

Eintauchen in ein altehrwürdiges Hotel

Also eins muss ich sagen: Der Hotelier war sehr freundlich, kommunikativ und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbüffet sehr grosszügig und mit viel frischem Obst und einer herrlichen Auswahl. Die Lage des Hotels kann zentraler nicht sein.
