Great place to stay

All as per the listing. We enjoyed the rooms and the view. It would be great if they improve the water pressure in the showers.

Great Stay

Perfect central location to Banner Elk, Boone, and Linville. If you are looking for privacy and seclusion this is the place. Cabin layout is great for a family or up to 3 couples. Comfortable beds. The road is well maintained and easy to get to the cabin. Plenty of parking. Few things to note. There is no internet (even though VRBO listing says so) However we had great cell service with 3 bars (verizon). Satellite TV provided with limited channels. The keyless lock is tricky. Takes a few tries to both unlock and lock the door. There are hound dogs barking in the distance (approximately 1/2 mile away) as mentioned in other reviews. Mainly heard while sitting on the deck looking at the amazing view of grandfather mountain. It was on and off and didn’t affect our stay at all as we were out and about exploring most days. Would stay here again.

Dogs loudly barking 24/7, Vacasa breached contract

The property manager, Vacasa committed fraud and breached the contract with me. After numerous attempts before, during, and after my stay to resolve the issue, they lied, deflected, and ignored me. The property did not have internet access despite the listing saying it did. I selected the property SPECIFICALLY because it had "internet access" listed under amenities, as my spouse works remotely. I messaged Vacasa prior to confirming my reservation and they assured me there was internet. After confirming the reservation I called Vacasa, who again assured me there was internet. I texted Vacasa who assured me there was internet. The day of arrival. Surprise. No internet. I contacted Vacasa who strung me along for the entire stay, doing absolutely nothing to move me to one of their many properties that have internet, or compensate me in any way. They even went as far as to alter the listing and then call me a liar, as if the prior 3 days of discussion never happened. I have screen shots of everything. The property: -Dogs barking loudly for hours at a time. You can hear them even with the doors/windows closed. It was insufferable. -The owner or manager has some device installed on the hot water to make it turn off at between 4 and 5 minutes, presumably to get you out of the shower quicker and reduce their water bill. -We were greeted by an overflowing trash can. -The MBR has a hole in the ceiling and water damage. Presumably insects or whatever is coming through that hole.
