Great value motel.

It is comfortable, clean, and in a quiet, yet convenient, location. The young lady working in the lobby was very accommodating and helpful as was the man from maintenance. We did have to have commode plunged on one occasion but they responded within 5 minutes; this issue can arise in any location and did not cause me to rank motel lower. It is an older facility, and looks like it, but it is truly a great value!!

Close to campus

we chose the hotel for convenience over quality. It is worn down and looks to be in need of serious remodeling. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. It was perfect for getting to campus without delayed travel time. The convenience was worth it, particularly for a football game.

It has somewhat improved!

We stayed here over 4th of July, what a dump (but fine for one night)! Now stayed here over Labor Day, one can see they've done some work. Many holes in the walls were patched, I wasn't terrified of the bedspread, I would now stay here for a weekend. Yeah, it's gotten better. Just remember that it is inexpensive and close to West Point. Thank you.

It's a DUMP, but fine for 1 Night.

All you can do is laugh, it's that bad. Broken, torn, stained, (lots of stains) we immediately took the bedspread off, the sheets seemed okay. The rug seriously must be 50+years old. As always, I had my Clorox wipes so I wiped everything down, regardless. We stayed on 4th of July to go to Trophy Point at West Point so it was perfect, especially location wise. The walls are paper thin, I heard every shower and toilet flush, but happily I had so much wine in me that I passed right out. The AC worked, the TV worked, the dumpy room itself was spacious. WiFi was immediate, no problem parking and the water pressure was impressive. Even my hubby who is a diehard couldn't help but start to laugh. The nice Indian lady behind the desk checked us in early. I already booked again for Labor Day weekend, but again, just for one night.

Perfect for what we needed

We were in the area for a wedding and wanted a reasonably priced place to crash for a few hours before the long ride home. Checked in after midnight, so the office was closed but they left the key for us (we called ahead to let them know). Room was clean enough. Beds were okay. Free breakfast was nothing special, but grateful to have a nibble before hitting the road. We were satisfied for the price. I would go back for a night or two if I needed to stay in the area again. (Close to Bear Mountain State Park, which we stopped at on the way home.)

The service is outstanding!

The staff at the Econolodge, Yvonne, Corinna, Jackie, Joe and Randy are amazing. When I arrived around midnight I found about a dozen people in the lobby that were looking for rooms as power was out and many roads were closed in most of the area due to a huge snowstorm. The entire staff was up and had pizza in the lobby and they were busy trying to find other hotels in the area where those in the lobby could stay as they were completely booked. Several rooms were located due to their efforts. I work in a service business and what I saw was Exceptional. Thanks!

What a Dump

everything was dirty and gross. We stayed in a room above the office - you could see down to the first floor. the clerk smoked and it was coming up into our room. The roof leaked in several places, blood stained mattress-filthy floors and my kids were afraid to shower or go to the bathroom. The "free" breakfast consisted of milk and juice way past the expiration date, old danish and stale cereal. This place should be torn down. The only good thing about it was it was close to West Point - and that is it. I wish I could give it a lower rating.
